I walked out the garage door to retrieve our garbage can from
yesterdays pickup, when I heard what sounded like an owl way
up in some tall pine, oak or Holly trees back behind our house
on the other side of the fence in neighbors yrds.

I grabbed my red flashlight to shine up in the canopy of the
trees hoping to get some big bright eyes to go along with that
sound. But no luck.

Then came inside to google about owls and also see what
kind of sounds racoons make too since they are the ones
who visit our yrd at night.

Anyway, upon my research it looks like its not coon sounds
but rather owls which is pretty exciting to know and hear.

Here is what I also found upon reading which is interesting.

What does owls symbolize in the Bible?

Like the Owl that can distinguish its' prey in the dark, prophetic vision
can also see those that belong to the Father that are in the dark, and
those being called to come to the light. They recognize those whom
the Lord has chosen, and through a prophetic word, reveal the calling
that God has placed upon their life
.

Thank You, God.

Thank you for sharing the information this AM, sharon, all of it! I love to hear the sound of owls and will never think of them the same way again after reading that.

Thank you God for a perfectly lovely date night with the bride you chose for me, and now I'll say to her "see you Friday morning" because I'll be working lots of long hours through Sunday.

Thank you God for more rain, You know we need it, and hopefully it will tone down the crowds at an event I'm wrapping up this week. Thank you God for the team of friends you brought back together at work last night, it was nice to see each other again until baseball season begins.

Cunning Baffling Powerful

People may say you've changed.

Then you can say, "yes I have,"....

"I didn't work this hard
to stay the same."

Rain to me is Mother Nature's Miracle Grow for
my gardens and pretty flowers. Rain can also be
a life saver in keeping the crowds down in large
events like Astro is working.

Bless and keep everyone safe during the remaining
holidays with whatever folks are doing. Whether it
be traveling, partying, working, relaxing.

Thank you, God for all your lessons in life remaining
teachable and patient thru them all.

Here is a late birthday/Christmas present arriving
yesterday in the mail. Now, i wait for the sun to brighten
up to charge this sweet little solar lantern and shine thru
the night.

sharon, that's a beautiful lantern to light up your garden and provide a pleasing accent, may it bring you joy every time you look at it.

Thank you God for surgical incisions that are healing and an abdomen that's improving, again I thank You for the skills you gave to the surgeon and her team to fix me up and get me back to "normal", or the way You created me to be.

There are so many folks that don't have what
you, we, us have. Be always grateful. Always
be kind.

Thank you, God, for watching over us each day.

We have a path in life to follow. Help us to walk
this path in health, happiness and honesty.

To help us remain faithful and in service to You
with Your continued blessings upon us.

In prayer I ask You to keep all safe and protected
under You Care.

So very true. Thank you God for my haves, not my have nots.

Thank you God for this day to work from home and attend to some light chores. I feel somewhat rested and know that more is on the way.

Thank You God once again for rain in our area that
is keeping us grounded for the day. Not exactly what
I enjoy doing cause i'd rather be outside playing with
my flowers.

Been searching the local stores for k-cup coffee flavors
as I got curious in wanting to try coffee by the single cup
machine method for a change and treat for the afternoon.

We have tried the hot chocolate but not the coffee yet.

You mention trying a new flavored k-cup coffee for the holidays
Astro and have been wanting to give that flavor a try but havent
found it in the stores. However it is online which has oodles
of different flavors to try too.

Anyway, for the meantime i grabbed a vanilla creme
flavor paired with my salted caramel skinny syrup and....
omgoodness it is delicious.

Besides hopping on the k-cup coffee wagon, I spotted
awhile back all these hot sauces they were selling as
Christmas gifts for the holidays. I was curious and
wanted to pick up some when put on sale but sadly
it had all been grabbed by now.

No worries tho, I can find oodles of flavored hot sauces
online to give a try, but not sure where to begin because
id want all of them.

Enjoy a day at home Astro.

Thank you God for rest when I can get it, I am not sleeping well lately and working long hours. Lord I ask for a solid night of long sleep and a well rested and healthy body, thank You for bringing me this.

What is your "happy place" ?

While taking a quick trip to Lowes and Home Depot
this morning for small pavers and cement glue for pipes,
I couldn't have felt so happy just being there.

Then out of my mouth I chuckled and said that I
was in my happy place. There is something
awesome about going to those 2 places that always
makes me feel happy and excited.

We dont have to really buy anything, but just to
be in the store takes away all the cares of the world
and replaces them with happy endorphins.

Anyway, just thoughts of the day, expressing them
here.

Dear Lord, Thank You for happy thoughts and wishes
for health and happiness thru out our SR community
and in the world as we enter into a new year.

I have many, many happy places. A camping spot, Tonto Creek, being anywhere with my children, church, the Warhammer Store, or anywhere I'm at with my wife and our dog. I feel a sense of content in those places that escapes me when I'm at work or going about my daily routines.

Even though it's a cold and rainy morning, thank you God for 10 hours of sleep, oh that felt good after working 12 hours at the Fiesta Bowl yesterday, and for this day to spend at home just relaxing and re-energizing myself. Lord I ask for healing for my wife, your daughter Charlotte, who hasn't felt well this week. Amen.

Thank you, God, for time well spent with family and friends.

I pray for lost sheep, that these sufferers will seek to reach out to and follow You, as they will be given comfort, hope, and peace in the new year.

Thank you God for my safety as well as that of my coworkers and our guests last night during a lightning and hailstorm. Too much standing water, not a good combination with all that electricity, I'm glad we closed down 1/2 hour early.

Mother Narure is getting ready to bring us some strong
storms early tomorrow morning and through out the day.

I ask in prayer dear Lord to protect us and all those
affected by these storms that cross each of our home states.

With change in tempts going from warm to cold, storms
pop up, some severe and dangerous. Hopefully eveyone
takes precautions and protect themselves, their families
and property.

I'v been using this steel mesh fencing to use inside my
square foot raised garden boxes to keep the coon from
getting into them. I learned how to use the cutters and
now all 4 boxes are secured.

No sign of the coon for about a week now and I am so
excited. Sure hope he has gone off to find new territory
to satisfy his desires to dig up and realize that I have regained
my backyard and am not turning it over to him. EVER....

Thank you Lord for guiding me along my gardening journey
and keeping me from absolutely losing it over the coon.

Congrats on your success in the coon battle, sharon! We're praying for the coon too, that he has found safe and secure digs where he won't pester anyone nor destroy their property

Thank you God for a warm fire yesterday, the return of more rain, and a fun afternoon at the Warhammer store, hanging out with some young folks and just having fun while I keep my brain focused and engaged.

Thanks Astro for the extra prayers. Much appreciated as always.

Sooooo, I've not heard of the Warhammer store before and
took my fingers to googling all about it to satisfy my curiosity.

Warhammer is a tabletop battle game which puts players in command of armies of valiant humans, noble elves, savage orcs or a variety of twisted and monstrous creatures. Players collect forces of miniature plastic models, all with different stats and abilities, and use them to play out clashes on a tabletop battlefield.

Where is the largest Warhammer store?
At 4,000 square feet, Grapevine's Warhammer Store & Cafe by Games Workshop is the largest Warhammer location in North America with space for 20 playing tables. Major brands are Warhammer Age of Sigmar, an epic fantasy setting, and Warhammer 40,000, a grim-dark, futuristic universe.

Do you go to your store to play or collect items to bring
home to add to your own collection? Any particular game
you enjoy playing?

Thank You, God, for bringing folks together in hobbies
that don't require alcohol or substance abuse. Just good
clean fun.

Enjoy the day in all you do.

All things are possible that is right for us.

4,000sf??!! Wow that's gotta be one big store. The store in my area has 3 gaming tables and a small table in the back for assembling and painting. What I enjoy is that most days it's like a community center with people of all ages playing wargames and working on their collections, so I'm not the only aging nerd in the place I will eventually learn to play Warhammer 40k, currently I'm assembling a combat patrol of the classic Space Marines. It's an expensive hobby so I'm taking it slow according to my budget, my real goal from this is to keep my mind sharpened and focused as I get older.

Thank you God for a peaceful evening at home with my wife and dog, a delicious meal, a warm fire, and the nice technician that got our heater working.

Thank You, God, for protecting us from last nights storm
that blew in. I ask that you remove my fears and anxieties
that seem to be plaguing me lately. For being short and
irritated.

It's been a long past year with my husband being in pain
when walking and with all the test he has gone thru to get
him ready for tomorrows shot, I ask that you guide us and
protect us going there early in the morning and that this
shot will deliver some much needed relief to him.

Thank You for always loving us unconditionally. In Your name,
we pray. Amen.
