Hahaha, no he did not perform that one sharon, but I do remember that well. He did about a half dozen of his more popular tunes and a few from the Beatles, my favorite of his is always Photograph.

Thank you God for such a wonderful time with family members yesterday, especially time with my brother who continues to fight cancer bravely with You by his side, leading him in all that he does.

Surrender all your problems to God. You don't have to
carry all those burdens alone. God is with you. He loves
you. And he cares for you.

Thank You God for many prayers we read, learn, say,
along our journey in life to honor You.

Thank you for good healthy foods to nourish us daily.
Like, oatmeal with blueberries in the morning, salad
for lunch and broccoli, sweet potato and delicious drum
stick my husband grilled and smoked for us for dinner.

For a sweet cold treat, there's watermelon or Honey
Dew melon or Cantaloupe. Yummy..!!!

Thank You for all those lovely butterflies that visit my garden
of paradise and all those bright cheerful flowers that they love.

Swallowtails, Monarchs and others. All absolutely stunning
to watch as they flutter about the yard.

Thank you God for those times when I'm defended when under attack, and for those who accept me just as I am.
Thank you God for my uniqueness, and for allowing me to love others and You as I am commanded.

Pray not because you need something,
but because you have a lot to thank God for.

Thank You God for a safe trip to and from
the store this morning. Thank You for my
recovery program which is a gift that I never
take for granted.

Thank You God for the gift of gardening. Each time
I clean a bed, remove leaves, taking my time, reflecting
on my life and recovery, I am even more grateful to
be in a place in my life more so today than I was
during my addiction.

Today I experience a freedom from those chains
that kept me sick in heart, mind and soul for so long.

Thank You God. Amen.

Thank you for the reminder sharon, that I am so thankful to God for removing me from the bondage of addiction.
Thank you God for allowing me to experience my life and this world with eyes of wonder and a heart to love.
Thank you God for one of those nights when I got home late and I'm up early, maybe an hour of two of sleep, but no hangover which is still almost strange in some ways.

If God offers you a second chance, don't waste it.

The early mornings around here, in which I grab my flashlight
and do my regular 4am walkabout my backyard, all lite up with
programable path lights that guide my steps, has been absolutely
a dream with low humidity, light cool breezes, making it feel
like a touch of Fall in the air.

That's the perfect time to get all my gardening done. Well,
not all, but I do get some early morning watering done just
like the nurseries do before the day gets too hot.

Thank You God for perfect weather we are experiencing
right now. Thank You for a trip to the nursery to pick up
a new plant that attracts butterflies. One nursery was out,
so we are grateful for another to ride to. And yes they had
one which made me sooooo happy.

This one is called.....
Cleome Señorita Rosalita® (Spider Flower) (gardenia.net)

While walking the nursery, getting myself lost amongst all the
beautiful plants, I grabbed a gorgeous deep red hibiscus
to add to my garden.

Hibiscus Hollywood® ‘First to Arrive™’ | James Greenhouses - perennial plugs & specialty propagation

Thank You God for blessing me with the gift of gardening and
the knowledge learned and continuing to learn about what
works in my gardens and those that don't.

I am in absolute luv with ornamental grasses that we often
see when out and about. Those that sway in the breeze with
white plumage on top.

I bought several varieties, one being pink Muhly and another
that is red. Both are planted in pots to keep them from over
growing and keeps them contained. They have been placed up
high to catch the breezes and look simply marvelous dawlin.

I very much enjoy hearing you describe you garden, sharon, it sounds so lovely. We have hibiscus behind our pool waterfall and love the beautiful orange flowers they produce.

Thank you God for my patience lately, when I've had adults acting aggressively and miserably, projecting their anger and hatred. I'm doing my best to smile and be polite, I know that's because of You.

Hibiscus behind a waterfall sounds amazing
and the perfect spot for them to bloom purrrty.

Life is boring if you don't laugh, joke around and be a little
crazy every now and then. At the end of the day, it's about
being happy. okay, i'll keep trying.

Thank you, God, for helping me stay focus at the task at
hand. Keeping mindful of the healthy foods I am eating
to achieve a healthy, strong mind and body to keep working
my garden of paradise.

Working my backyard is excellent exercise which keeps
me moving each day. Burning unwanted calories and weight
that I know is extra baggage I don't want to carry each day.

The older I get, I want to be the best person I possibly can
be in all areas of my life.

Thank You God for my continued willingness to listen, learn,
absorb and apply many of life's lessons to achieve many of
life's rewards. Amen.

It's travel day, thank you God for your mercies and protection. Lord, we just ask You to get us safely to Seattle and on our cruise ship to AK without too many hiccups, it's going to be busy out there.

Thank you God for delivering us safely to our destination, for the friendly people we encountered along the way, for the hearty ship meals, for lots of coffee, and for a restful night and a warm bed.

Positions are temporary, ranks and titles are limited.
But the way you treat people, will always be remembered.

Thank You, God for the safe arrival of Astro and family,
as they embark on what I am assuming will be one heck
of a memorable trip.

Okay Astro, take us on this trip with you with all the
amazing details. And I mean details. All the sights,
sounds, smells emotions, feelings.

Thank you God for the final delivery of our new relciners
we ordered way back in January. Yep, we have been
waiting for this order for that long.

We looked at all the chairs at Lazy Boy but decided to order
what we wanted and not the floor chairs while willing to wait
about 3 months.

Well, many holidays had passed, our anniversary and Valentine's
Day, Easter, Mother's Day, all thinking those would be the day of
delivery. Sadly, it wasn't to be.

Then, one chair arrived at the store with a wait on the second
one. Then finally both were together, but with store changes, folks
retiring, computer glitches and personnel changes, paper trail lost
on computer. Well, let's say, it took my husband to drive around the
corner to the store and pay for the chairs and finally get the deliver
set for us today.

Yep, they have arrived and the leather smells nice. I never had
a leather recliner before so this is special. This is my husbands
second chair in leather, and his first one needed to go. Sooooo,
we have upgraded with 2 special gifts in recovery.

Thank You God for the ordeal we went thru to get these gifts,
and forgive us if our tempers rose or we were disappointed
at times while waiting. We are thankful for the comfort we will
enjoy for years to come with Your blessings. Amen.
