Thank you God for the togetherness of family, and I'm sending up prayers for the two children that are straying and resentful.

Let's see if I can get in the habit of sharing here as you
do, Astro. Reading your daily posts is an inspiration
and gets me thinking of the things I often Thank God for
each and every day in a private quiet way.

Just to say Thank You God comes easy to me because
I have faith in the Man upstairs as He continues to bless
me daily.

Today I say thank You God for my husband's recent
heart catharization proceedure earlier this week giving
him a clean bill of health to move forward to the next
step in seeking relief for the pain in his lower back.

Whatever happens down the road, we ask for guidance,
strength and Thy will be done.

Thank You also for providing me with willingness and
courage to get behind the wheel to drive when I havent
driven in so long. Take away my fears and strengthen
me to be prepared for whatever I am called to do in
any situation as we get older.

sharon, I'm glad to hear your husband's procedure went well, and I'll thank God for his care and his blanket of protection over your husband too. Sending up prayers for relief from the back pain.

Thank you God for the years you gave me with my friend Andre, and thank You for bringing him home to his place in heaven. Lord, I ask that you bless his wife, my dear friend Basia, with peace, comfort, and strength in the years she has ahead.

Thank you God for our creature comforts, a warm home and food on the table. Thank you God for a pile of firewood and a bed to crawl into every night.

Thank You God for loving, caring folks traveling the road
of recovery showing and sharing abundance of support.

Thank you Astro for your kind words and sorry to hear
about the loss of your friend of many years. May he rest
in peace as well.

For years I've tried to get my Christmas Cactus plant to
bloom without success until this year. I bought a second
plant last week with blooms and suddenly the 1st plant
began to produce sweet little flowers. With so much excitement
in seeing new colorful flowers, i grabbed a few more
plants in other colors to fill my greenhouse for the holidays.

Thank You Garden Gods for blessing me with these
Christmas Cactus plants and all the new Camellia
blooms in a variety of magnificent colors to also enjoy
during the Winter months.

Thinking of your plants and greenhouse made me smile, sharon

Thank you God for travel mercies on my road trip today, please help me to be a safe and alert driver, to be a good friend to the person I'm visiting, and to have my "Santa" gift drop-off be received with a good heart.

Dear Lord, please protect Astro on his travels today
guiding and protecting with each mile he takes going
and coming back.

Thank You God for blessing us with another sober
day and the willingness and knowledge to take care
of a critter problem that is digging and tilling up some
of my raised garden beds.

Hopefully these sheets of spikes will keep
him, the coon, from walking in those beds again.

Trying to focus more on fruits and vegetables, sharon, and less breads, cheeses, rice, and potatoes. Love all those things but moving more towards greens I've dropped 25lbs so far and working towards another 20.

Thank you God for bringing cheer and a little laughter into the home of a friend who lost her husband last week, and I pray that the "opinionated" give her time to grieve and process before they continue to swoop in like vultures.

Whew, Astro. I've been at war for the past 2 days trying
to defend my garden of paradise against the evils of a
rascally coon who is terrorizing my turf.

To wake up around 3ish and grab my flashlight to do
a walk about the backyard and see the destruction this
critter can and has done to my beautiful yard is absolutely
mind boggling.

This critter plucked up whole miniature roses from
the ground tossing them aside leaving a hole.

Well, yesterday, I put on my garden gloves ready
to fight, putting a wire fence and plastic fencing around
4 white above ground 4 x 4 garden boxes to keep
him from digging, disturbing and destroying what
all I have planted in them to look so nice.

I also picked up potted plants and placed them
in greenhouses before bad weather approaching
as well as finally cooler weather. Out of site, out
of this crazy critters mind to keep him at bay.

A few minutes ago, i walked out the back door
and immediately the mealworm container wasnt
in it's place on the table. It is an empty plastic
miracle grow container that I use to hold meal
worms for the little birds I feed under our garage eve.

Saw some other items on the floor but no container.

Wt heck....lol

Hubby and I looked and it's gone...!!!!

I made my way around the entire backyard with my
flashlight and it is nowhere to be seen of found. CRAZY..!!!!!

The good news is tho, nothing has been disturbed,
finally, as of this morning. Come day light i will inspect
again and see if he came back, which I'm sure he did
because he has.

He must be living nearby, like as if he is in our backyard,
but have looked and looked with no coon. He is a smart
critter and seems to be a step ahead of me. Spying on me
to see where I pick up planted pots and move them
to another location, because he finds them and digs
in them twice in one day.

I'm not surrendering critter coon. I'm gonna fight to
the end and not giving up.

Dear Lord, God of my understanding, continue to guide
me and strengthen me as to what else to do to ward off
this critter and keep this gift you've allowed me to maintain
daily keeping it clean and beautiful to enjoy and appreciate.

Thank you God for a friend in Astro who is caring and
supportive to his friends and family as he works to achieve
better health by eating all the right foods provided to him.

Today I pray for Your guidance and purpose in life.

sharon, this is reminding me of the movie Caddyshack! Lord I'm lifting up sharon and her hubby in prayer for an end or solution to the raccoon dilemna and I pray for sharon's garden to remain unscathed and beautiful from all the care and protection she gives to her place of peace and respite.

Thank you God for patience and an added dose of thanks for protecting my partner and I while we were on patrol, the concert crowd lost control a couple of times and it was a tense situation.

Dear Lord, thank You for protecting my friend Astro and
his partner during those concerts they work. When crowds
are fueled with loud music, no doubt drugs and alcohol,
they can get out of hand. Thank You for protecting all and
keeping these events under control by all folks that run
it.

Lord, continue to bless our hearts so that it may be a place
to welcome You on a daily basis.

Your prayers must have been heard, Astro, because when
I returned outside later in the morning yesterday, I found the
container with mealworms still inside, but, no top to be found.

To find this container near the riding lawnmower under the
garage with no mealworms spilled, is astonishing. Remarkable.

All I can think is, Mr. Coon got interrupted by me coming
outside with the flashlight, possibly spooking him in the act
and abandoned the task at hand. Stealing mealworms.

Not one mealworm was dropped out of the container
without a lid on it, still blows my mind.

Anyway, as I walked around inspecting for further tampering
of pots, I unzipped a pop up greenhouse I have on the patio
under the eve close by and.....OMgoodness, that scoundrel
snuck under the plastic cover and dug into the pots inside
leaving a mess.

Well, I cleaned up and secured the greenhouse with placing
small brick pavers inside holding the plastic down where he
couldnt crawl under it then zipped it up for the night and placed
one more solid stone at the door way just to be sure.

I'm up early on this special day, my December Birthday, a
gift from God I am so grateful for. Thank You Lord for this
blessing to be alive and healthy another year. Another day.

A huge congratulations to you on your December Birthday, sharon! The battle with the coon rages on, I am still praying for your success.

Thank you God for the surgeon and her team who will repair my abdomen tomorrow morning, I'm thankful for their skilled hands and knowledge, and also thankful for the technology as they'll be guiding a robot to do the incisions and repairs. Thankful also for Super Glue to close the small wounds!

Thank you, God, that it is such now that Mom's care facility can have a celebration for residents and loved ones on Christmas Day! COVID has finally been "handled" and we are in a safer place. I am so very grateful.

Jesus is the reason for the season. 🌟
