Grateful that I got out of going to the Capitol altogether yesterday! I almost wept with relief.
Grateful the Californians are getting much needed rain but also not being carried off in a mudslide.
Grateful Fearless gets a vacay and can leave with a clear plate!
Grateful to be awake in the pre-dawn quiet drinking coffee and preparing to do yoga.
Grateful my mother is an extremely patient person, and some of it rubbed off on me.
Grateful to have a relatively clear calendar today and to be able to dally at home a little to water my thirsty plants.
Grateful for my work family, both their support and their drama
Grateful to be able to come here and spend some time with you.

Grateful it's not a typical "TGIF" from the old days. 
Grateful for the sun glittering on the snow.

Grateful for bright oranges in my fruit-bowl;
grateful for my shelves of books that inspire, instruct, amuse;
grateful for snowdrops and crocuses in early Spring;
grateful for my framed pictures and that I can change their display with the seasons;
grateful for the civic services that keep the streets clean and the parks beautiful, and provide the public library and the museum and art gallery.
