I had to look up what alpacas were.... oh my goodness! How wonderful! It's like Dr Doolittle!

Grateful I found another toy that has kept my mischievous dog occupied for hours as I have had a headache most of the day. Grateful having ruled out many causes I think I have narrowed it down to eyestrain as evidenced by the drugstore granny glasses I now wear as I write this!

Grateful when I could feel myself getting panicked at work today about more unwelcome changes that are coming, I paused and took a breath, and recited in my head the many things I am grateful for.

Grateful if I have to rest again tonight then that's what I must do. It is a drag not feeling like myself, but, at least I am not hungover or being avoidant or laying around drinking!!

Grateful to reflect that if changes come my way that I do not like then maybe it is time for me to make some changes of my own.

Grateful for all of you, very much. Coming here morning and night makes a huge difference in my life. Thank you, for all you share in your posts. It really helps me.

You're welcome! Yeah, I wish I could befriend them and pet them, but the neighbors wouldn't like that, I don't think.

Grateful I finally went back the A Course in Miracles meeting at Unity. I got the book and am reading it. Really powerful stuff, but it makes my head spin, sometimes the same way Doctor Who does.

And grateful I put fruit in the shopping cart not even knowing what it was or how much it cost. I'm just trying different things. Turned out to be lee chis (sp?), not terribly expensive, and quite tasty.

Oh, and very grateful "The Ballad of Russell & Julie/500 Miles" video on DailyMotion. It made laugh and cry at the same time.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful for the phone call from my daughter this evening (she's been at treatment center for 24hrs); she sounds tired, a bit overwhelmed but willing to give it a try. So worried all day I would get a call from her telling me she wants to leave.

Grateful for SR - I can come here any time of the day or night & receive the much needed support from people who understand. Especially grateful this week as I couldn't attend the 12step meeting last night.

Grateful my son liked the recipe I tried out this evening for Pesto Chicken - said he'll take some to work tomorrow for lunch.

Grateful to be plain old tired at the end of the day -- what a great change from plain old pouring a drink.

Grateful for a lovely church meeting this evening, and the fellowship of the other folks there.

Grateful we managed to paint two sides of the house today, and also get out for a walk this afternoon.

Grateful that I wore a hat while painting, so I don't have too much white paint in my hair.

Grateful for electricity. Serious. How would we live without it?

Grateful for my newfound ability to hold my tongue. Amazing that the world works just fine without my verbal input.

Grateful that I'm not in charge. What a relief.

So grateful to hear from others that the changes in me are perceptible. Twice in one day! My friend who did body work on me today said she could literally feel the vitality and energy in me and, in our phone conversation, my sponsor marveled at my "transformation" as well. God is certainly doing for me!

And grateful for riding my bike to my appointment this morning. Being outside and active really helps me physically, emotionally, & spiritually.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful for bed tonight and a short run to keep me sane.
Grateful for a plan to be productive tomorrow.
Grateful for water, it still amazes me how good it tastes.
Grateful for the community of SR and sending wishes to Astro to feel better soon (and perhaps Rusty - as I can't imagine why anyone would take Castor Oil unless they are sick or to induce labor!).

Lol. I've got some antibiotics left from my tooth extraction that might do the trick.

Grateful that I am still able to say no when something just doesn't feel right.

Grateful for some rain today, it means I don't have to water the garden.

Grateful for enough ingredients to make a vegetable/butterbean casserole for tea, garlic makes all the difference.

Grateful I'd written down my SR password, otherwise I might not be able to post this!

Grateful that my horse-fly bite has pretty much healed up now.

Gratefully amazed that an ex-sponsor looks to me for guidance now, four & a half years after we had a falling out. I am so astonished and grateful that I have been given what I sought from her years ago, and now she is getting it from me. Mysterious ways, indeed....

And grateful for making progress on figuring out the guitar chords for one of my favorite Phil Ochs songs, "Song of My Returning." I don't know a lot of chords and this song has a lot, so it's been a real stumper, but I'm finding it gratifying to puzzle it out.

Love and hugs,
Eddie
