Grateful for a really productive day.
Grateful for my silly snoring snugging dog.
Grateful for my family and the community of SR.
Grateful for being sober and the stupid craving for a post work drink (or two or more) have passed.

Grateful,
For my check-up appointment with my GP tomorrow,
For his support in my recovery,
For my Higher Power, Who eases my withdrawals,
For my family, who love me through this struggle,

michaels

Grateful for my Mom, who has been helping me immensely lately. I feel guilty I've caused her pain because of my addiction. I'm on day 5. Love you Mom.

Grateful for my loving family.
My husband found a job.
My mental and physical health continues to improve the longer I'm sober.
Especially grateful to have a sense of humor and can laugh at the absurdity of the alcohol commercials on TV
Grateful that even though I'm not on SR everyday, I know my online family is here if and when I need them.

Grateful the wind has stopped for a few days, grateful for the red dawn, the pink sunset and the coming weekend.

Grateful for a good day at work, I managed to get most of my "must do's" done.

Grateful for my Eckhart Tolle audio book, it helps me to appreciate the present moment.

Grateful for tinned baked beans, it's an easy and fairly healthy meal for a Friday night when I don't feel like cooking.

Grateful my dog is calmer and letting me treat his condition without too much trouble.
Grateful the dogwalker can come by tomorrow when I am out of town for the day.

Grateful to tolerate uncomfortable states of mind and emotion, knowing this too shall pass.

Grateful word is my (soon to be in a week) 84 yr old Dad is holding his own on a fishing trip with his sons and grandsons.

Grateful for EQ's post tonight, esp remembering uncomfortable states of mind and knowing this too shall pass. Thank you. Sometimes I forget.

On toast? I gather from the use of the word "tinned" and the time you posted that you're in the U.K. and I hear folks there like beans on toast. Am I right? And I could probably stand to re-read some Eckhart myself. Thanks for the reminder!

Grateful and excited to join my YouTube friend's GISHWHES team and to learn about Random Acts. Just Google them. SHould be great fun. I am really moved by this movement. teehee.

And grateful for "someone up there" putting the Tangy Tart Hot and Sweet cookbook on top of the bargain books bin at the grocery store just for me. When the first recipe I looked at was honey chili butter, I knew it was for me. And only $8! I sauteed red grapes, pear, and green onions with honey, butter, black and red pepper, chili powder, and Texas Pete and put it on cinnamon raisin French toast. It was almost too good to eat.

I'm grateful for my brother, Brian, who has been helping me so much through a terrible time. Solid dude.
