Thanks, HeadLump!
Astro, that IS weird. Is it a dementia thing or what?

Grateful for fireflies the last few nights. I saw them in the mountains a couple of weeks ago, but just lately down here.

And grateful for rediscovering the joy of riding my bike, even though it was just for transportation. I had not been able to ride for so long and it was pretty hot, but I really enjoyed my little outing. I forgot the bike makes its own breeze!
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful I missed my bus today, which means I had to ride my bike 14 miles ...it was hard, but I feel so good and so accomplished ...if I hadn't quit drinking I wouldn't be doing stuff like that.

Grateful the rain stopped just in time for me to ride to an aa meeting this morning, and it was a great meeting.

Grateful to be going to bed sober. And grateful tomorrows my day off and I can take it easy!

And grateful for this community and everyone's posts.

Grateful to not lose my patience through a trying episode, grateful to choose think-and-put-kind-in-gear instead of put-mouth-in-gear.

More than likely, yes it's dementia.

Grateful I didn't lose my cool with Dad yesterday. He was in a bad mood and I had a lack of patience and tolerance.

Grateful that these things always pass too.

Grateful that my dental appointment went well, a clean bill of health for another year.

Grateful to have found somewhere local that sells coconut water, apparently it's very healthy.

Grateful that I have some credit on my Amazon account, so I can choose a new book soon.

Grateful for the audio books I borrowed from the library. They are making my commute far more enjoyable. It has become my entertainment time instead of my lost time.

Grateful I have off from now till Monday as there is another huge festival in my town over the next four days that will bring in two times our town population in just visitors and will compromise traffic etc. My commute could take hours so i am glad i have off. Grateful the business is good for the town and is much needed.

Grateful I reached my Dad on the phone before he leaves on a long fishing trip with his sons and grandsons.Grateful his health is good enough to go as he looks forward to it all year long.

Grateful to feel less fearful in general over the last week or two. Not fearless yet lol but more accepting of reality maybe.

I'm so sorry, Astro. Both my parents are in their 80s and have some dementia and both are much crankier than they used to be.

Grateful a mutual friend informed me that a close friend's ex-husband died a few weeks ago from alcoholism. My friend probably wouldn't have told me unless I brought him up and then it would have been awkward. It's sad, of course, but I'm glad to know.

And grateful for visiting a friend I hadn't seen by myself in a while. I got to meet his 2 new girl-kitties and they were beautiful. And I was glad I could take him out to get toilet paper. That's what friends are for, eh?

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful :

To pop in here and read the posts, it's been a while..

That 6 and 7 months slipped by without me noticing, I'm not a counter but it made me think of how far I've come.

That I decided to slow down a bit with renovations, most of the major work is done and it's time to relax this summer, business is slow so might as well enjoy it and put the crowbar and hammer down.

To be learning about the unconscious mind and how to reach it.

For everything!

Grateful to check out at the end of a busy day. My plate is very full at the moment but I'm doing a fair job with work, home, my volunteer position and my own interests. Grateful that I am less selfish and I can do that.
