The film sounds like xmen: the last stand the scene you described is between wolverine & Jean grey also known as phoenix who's true power is released and wolverine is trying to save her moving forward as he is ripped to shreds but quickly regenerating because Logan has fast regeneration powers (a lot of ppl didn't like this movie but I thought it was good esp that scene !!)

Trachs I was worried yesterday and I hope today that you have put it down its not going to help you and your a respected and loved member here

With you all the way brother but no more drinking

What happened to the trip to your fathers? Pull out of this before you really do something you'll regret

I know in one of your posts sleepie you did the what if routine if BF breaks up if you go blind if this if that. If you get to that bridge cross it at that time but for now just worry about today there are enough probelms and troubles today without adding more fuel to the fire right?

Now this is the no more Bull Crap thread for a reason. So shovel it up and get back on the wagon guys

I say this all with love !

oh and Sleepie how are those black lentils I"ve never had black ones only french, brown and red. I love red ones!.

trach, I'm sorry and you have my full sympathy -- all that I can give.

I've been depressed for the last couple of weeks -- it's amazing how even through the meds you can feel it digging with creepy crawly fingers, planting vile thoughts. I'd love to be drinking with you. But that's not an option. I won't risk the chance that there will be no return for me. & I don't want to leave a dying drunk on anybody's hands.

Being an alcoholic is not a reason to drink. It's a reason not to drink.

Please stop drinking now.

no, it wasn't the xmen movie. It was a print comic from the 80's I think.

Why is it 9:15? where did the day go?

trach,
when people suggest you call someone, they don't mean to call someone to commiserate with about how we failed.

i know you know this.

i don't know if i care (you asked earlier who cares, or maybe you said no-one does), but i can tell you i felt a physical jab in my solar plexus.
you know, i don't care you're drinking near as much as i care about you getting and staying sober. you and Cow and everyone else bloody suffering like this.
and then commiserating about the suffering and the waste and the horror and thereby keeping it all re-infoced and normalized.

i'm afraid it feeds the sickness, and i don't want to help with that.

dumping whatever is left is the first step.

You may be right. Revisiting the addiction may keep it alive.

Trach and Cow, you both need to get up, dust yourselves off and get back on the sober train! You can do it!!!

Sleepie, sorry you're feeling down. Please don't play the "what if" game as that only fuels the anxiety fire. You've made some incredible progress over the past six months. Time to start loving yourself. I know you "don't do positive", but maybe it's time to start. The mind is an incredible thing and positive thoughts can lead to better things. It hurts to see such a thoughtful and talented individual such as yourself suffer.

See, sleepie! Cow and I get a shared sentence. You get a paragraph!

As someone has said to me: You are loved here.
