Welcome to the island, 24.

I need to break out the clippers myself. Getting shaggy.

I don't need clippers... a razor will do. The fun of being a "chrome dome".

I got down to 1/4 inch once. My head's too big and bulbous for that. I look like a comic book villain.

I did a couple things that needed doing, which is a big deal for me.

I am such a bad self defeater that booze is not even the half of it, and lets face it, booze was bad.

Happy Sunday - what is shaking on the Island??

I had another lazy day, feeling pretty bad about the lack of productivity, but trying to say that tomorrow is another day.

For me, the self defeater voice shouts as loudly as the AV... and it seems I am better at not doing things than at doing them; something to ponder.

I understand the ennui. I recently advised someone to just go walk. I think the best advice is just go live. Just do. Any activity is better than inactivity.

It was cold here today. I love walking in the cold and a bit of snow, so I did that. Watched a movie online, "The Martian". I liked the book better. Made some pineapple chicken chili for dinner, have a nice big pot of it, good cold weather fare.

All that is shaking here.

All that is shaking here.

But, there was a little flat package on the doorstep when I got off work! My sleepie picture arrived! You're all looking at it as it's my avatar.

Sleepie, you really have a talent. I'm honored to have your work in my hands. Thank you.

It's a terrific picture trach--do you actually wear glasses?
I picture this 6'5" hulking intellectual--glasses could augment that well I'm thinking. . .

Yes, I usually have about 4 pair of glasses at hand for different purposes.
I picture this 6'5" hulking intellectual-
Not 6'5" but I'll take the rest of the compliment.

What a pretty cow!

Just back from work. I am not retaining much, partially from lack of sleep, I mean I am falling asleep there. Hard to focus. But the guy teaching me everything says I seem to be picking things up pretty quickly. Should be good when I start working alone soon. And I got new clothes today! Not even from the thrift store... so faaancy. bf got me some things from Target. I feel guilty not thrifting though...

Hey darling Sleeps - that is great!

I get pretty much all my clothes from second-hand stores, and it is nice to buy the occasional new thing. I get a real kick out of second-hand shopping though. My mother said to me once very ****** "stop telling people you get your clothes from second-hand stores!!!!" I'm thinking, what?!! I'm proud of it!! She was brought up very poor and teased about it so I guess she thinks there is something embarrassing about it. Au contraire. I love it!! But yes, sometimes you need a certain thing and you can't find it looking through racks of second-hand stuff.

Hey cool, about the job :-) That guys sounds nice.

So glad that your trainer is a positive guy -- imagine how easy that job is going to be if you really get some sleep, which I am sure you will if you hang in there.

Nice of your bf about the clothes.

My sister takes it as a badge of honour to buy her clothes second hand, and I think its a lot of fun.

She lives in a place with a lot of wealthy people who move, which I think increases the possibilities, but she also has a great eye.

How are things shaking Shabs?? We miss you proud here, but glad that you are doing well.

Hey guys
I have to admit I was sick to death of thrift store stuff, I wore only that and things given me for years. At first I was proud of it because there are a couple brands that make things that actually fit my weird build the right way- but I disagree with their employment of sweat shops... so I'd try and thrift them so as not to give them my money.
But I lost all person all style because I just chose whatever fit me after awhile. I think the last time I actually bought some store bought clothes was maybe 10 years ago! Except the odd pair of pants here or there. Usually couldn't afford other stuff. Still can't, but bf can. He is so good to me. I'm not gonna lie it's nice for a change from the creeps I have ended up with in the past.

I still boycott some brands though, the really notorious ones.

Sleeps,

I am really glad to hear such nice things about your guy.

I know he can sometimes be a guy, and hence insensitive, but sounds like he has his good points as well, and you deserve that.

Keep him around.
