Good Morning early-risers!
In at 0534.
Eerie dreary morning...my attitude is very good.
Grocery shopping later...set up a ride to the food pantry.
Need to pay more attention to hygiene and houseplants...in that order...lol.
Miss my cat especially his early morning alarms.
We were joking that cats don't make good welfare animals. During anxiety attacks they would say, "for pete's sake get your **** together and feed me.
A tad of snow yesterday.
Many trees holding on to leaves.
Found a boring podcast to go to sleep to...they even advertise as boring!
Ate well. Slept well. Body and mind is healing, still changing and getting back to normal.
Have a great day!

Good Monday morning all. Up at 5:40. Back to work. Made my lunch last night so I could hit the snooze bar one more time this morning. Sitting in the dark with candles, easing myself into the day.
Wiscsober, I see by your signature line that tomorrow will be two calendar months for you. Good work, keep on healing.

Congrats Wiscober! For me there was a huge improvement ramp between two months and today (almost six months).
Some of the improvements are subtle and some are not but all good.
Up to jump into job search, coffee of course.
Happy Monday all.

Up at 3:06am. Alarm set for 3am, didn't hear it, Mr. Ringo woke me up, thankfully.
What a weekend! Flew to New Jersey for a 12-Step convention. A lot of jet lag almost the whole weekend. Drinking coffee like there's no tomorrow!

Been up for awhile...even early for me...but I feel well. Watched MNF from Mexico...which was neat to see. Viewed it sober. Like many, I had to be imbibing before kickoff, during and after. Last night I ate ice cream and made a deli sandwich...with a diet spritzer.
Talked with a neighbor 0330. She has the cutest dog lab/spaniel mix. Said she hadn't been to bed yet...I know all about staying up for hours on end. No more. Now most days you find me asleep...lol
Not sure about the hesitancy to go back to AA meetings. I think I should. It will be 31 years soon since my first AA and NA meetings. There are meetings 10 minute walk or a short bus ride.
Also there is a recovery club here....One of the best I've known...fell short on financial oversight though and got taken for $10000 by a crooked treasurer.
Now I didn't start my day off thinking I was going to write that.
Alive and kicking....liking life....0435

Was up around 3 and went back to bed and relaxed before DIL got up to go to work. In my weird sleep cycle that will correct itself.
Picking friend up for meeting and visiting son this afternoon so I will be semi busy. I’m still in a bit of pessimistic rut but am improving.
A good Tuesday to all.

Morning all, the job search continues.
Still early in the process and I am pretty picky.
It will be easy to get discouraged but the last time I went through this I was drinking a lot. Whole different experience...
Thankful for my friends and work associates who are rallying to help and grateful
for SR.

Up at 4am. I hope to never take for granted awakening clear headed, sober, abstinent with God in my heart and in love with life.
Wiscsober, please consider going to a couple meetings, if only to be with people a short time. Recovery is a "we" program not an "I".
Melski, sending positive vibes your way for job search!
I get drunk; we stay sober.

Chloe - up in WI with you. With everyone.
Feeling sober and rationally awake.
Couple cups of joe and smokes and I'm about ready to go.
Thinking of another woman neighbor who starts chemo today for bile duct cancer. She helps me with rides to the bank, pantries, and stores. By doing that, the state will pay her Medicare deductible.
Upcoming inspection tomorrow for public housing authority. A lot of people get worked up about it, but I've had several inspections over the past years. It's more to see if any doors, locks, handles, outlets, smoke detectors are all working.
And, one thing in the Navy you got used to were daily inspections of one type or another.
Sober I keep a midline household compared to others....midline between immaculate and disgusting.

Sobriety affects everything.

Happy to sleep longer last night. It’s 48 degrees so I’m enjoying my morning solitude and wake up routine.
I’m supposed to get together with my friend from the “old days”. We don’t have much in common anymore. It’s sad but priorities change and relationships fade-away.
My housekeeping is mediocre anymore. It is impossible to have nice things within reach let alone clean with a toddler running around. That’s my excuse!
A good Wednesday to all.

Woke before the 4am at 3:45am. Awake, why not get up.
I look forward to having a cleaner house when I retire next month. I'm neat and things are "in their place" but...only so much time and energy on the weekend to get chores done and ready for Monday.
Not complaining! I feel fortunate to be "self supporting through my own contributions".

Oh gosh house work... I have a very tiny apartment so any clutter just starts to close in on me.
The up side is that I can clean the entire place in an hour or two so that is a plus for sure.
Had to breakdown and order a new printer/scanner so ruminating about where I can put it.
A set up project for later in the week.
Happy Wednesday all.

Ringo, you were in my neck of the woods. Hope you enjoyed your convention.
Congrats on two months Wiscsober! I remember my urgent cravings starting to drop off noticeably at that point. You really seem to have a great attitude about your recovery and love your shares!
