Glad you could enjoy the day Imvalentine, Chloe and Wisc. We had a nice low key day and dinner with no alcohol. I admit my mind was still having thoughts about how good my favorite Riesling would be with the turkey, blah blah blah. The AV will never give up trying to get us to drink one more time, and I am fine with that as long as I stay one step ahead and slam that door shut.

Today, I am going to dinner with my family, the smoking and drinking side of the family. There will be plenty of beer and wine and spirits but it doesn't bother me. Always good to get together with family, especially since my parents are getting up there in age.

Sorry you had a difficult week Dragon. I am not sure what line of work you are in actually. At least it's Friday for ya!

The crazy winds have died down, I have found most of my patio furniture, the sun is shining and I have coffee.

Life is good.

Have a good day all!

Got to sleep in! Up at 4:30am. Now at work and haven't seen any co-workers yet.

Glad to hear we all got through Thanksgiving without drinking. I ate a little too much; grateful I didn't go for broke.

Good morning...a bit off but sober and loving it.
Cold and sleet.
Purchased for 3 of 4 grandkids.
I spent too much money playing online games, unmanageability (financial) addict.
Darn cough holding on but I'm well.
Wish the best to you all with work and families.
Time is: listening to a guilty pleasure at 0447 Ellie Goulding!

Good Morning!
Starting to bring out some Christmas decorations. I have a small tree that I add a Danbury Mint Bird ornament on every day for the month of Dec. It is fun to see how full the tree gets and it makes me 'Think Spring" during the winter months!

DIL supposed to work today. She reminds me of myself with the fear and anxiety that comes with drinking. No alcohol since arrest but she clings to a quick fix Iím afraid.
Chloe Iíve been thinking about decorating myself. Major dusting and rearranging needed. Keeping a almost 2 year old from things is a scary thought also. Heirlooms May be hung from ceiling this year! Your tree sounds lovely.
Wiscsober good luck with that cough. Mine linger for weeks after a cold...the more you try not to cough the worse it gets in public.

A sober happy Saturday to all.

Imval,
It is kind of an "Advent Bird Tree"!
Yep, I, too, have to clean up after the fall decorations have collected midwestern dust...

Good morning and happy Saturday all.
Spent Thursday and yesterday with a friend who had surgery Tuesday.
Helped out with pets/chores ect.
She is sore but doing well.
She doesnít really drink much but her house is full of top shelf liquor and wine.
I was proud of myself because
I noticed it but it was like seeing a bag of chips or something, no emotion or temptation really..
A small deposit of confidence I guess.
Have a safe day.

Good Morning! Last update on the cold...imvalentine I am resigned to a lingering cough. Feel fine, just need to keep eating, of course not drink.

An inch of snow. Quite heavy. Pretty. Better than yesterday's wind and sleet.

Work on cleaning might have a public housing inspection tomorrow. If I spend 20 minutes on each area I should be fine. Need these simple boosts to motivate in the recovery process. I don't decorate, but I do like Xmas cards and taping them to the front door. My Badgers routed the Gophers. There's more intense stuff I could post about but not now. Enjoying the simple life. Everyone have a great day...Go Packers!

Finally expecting our first sleet/freezing rain/snow slop storm over the next two days. Just a 100 miles north of us, they are expecting a foot of snow. I am so happy that I am commuting a much shorter distance to work each day.

Have a good day all!

Morning, very high winds and rain here the last few days.
Hard to convince the pup to go out for potty but she has more jackets than I do lol.
Up at 4:30 today, yoga, chores and errands.
Happy Sunday.

Slept well and long enough.
Blizzard conditions yesterday so another dig out. The stinking wind will slow down this afternoon in time for more snow tomorrow.
Hanging out with Gdaughter today and doing chores...

A good Sunday to all.

True early riser this morning. Slept poorly, as my body is still on night shift mode. We are expecting our first snow of the season, 4-8 inches which will bring the whole area to its knees. I will make it to work before it starts, but getting home will be an adventure. You folks in snow country will find it funny I am sure. We just have too many people driving on too few roads, and the plows get stuck in traffic and chaos erupts.

Have a good day all!

Bathroom alarm at 1:00 and I thought I was still up from that. Sleep is a strange thing.
Training for new P/T job at 10:00. Glad to get out and a little extra money always helps.
Stargazer 4-8 inches is a lot of stinking snow. The plows went through our side streets yesterday so after shoveling out the curbs are now piled high and frozen. Itís the people who drive fast that are dangerous. I drove like an old lady for years and now I am one!

Hope we all have a good Monday

Checking in at 0620. Actually slept late till 0530. We have a lots of snow removal equipment and salt. 4-8 inches is still a good amount of snow. The U.P. must have got socked because I see some school closings. Not sure when it changed but the drivers here aren't that safe and experienced like we were back in the '70s. Hey I'm sober and loving it. Everyone have a great day!

Morning and happy Monday.
Last official day with my present job so feel a little strange.
Have been really working at finding something new and have one promising interview on Friday.
More would be better so it continues.
Filing for unemployment today for the first time ever.
I know it's just collecting back on the money I have already put in but it still feels odd.
Happy to report I have not even thought about drinking and am now on day three of a no sugar nutrition plan.
Much to be grateful for and wishing you all a good day.

Greetings all. Up at 0415.

Glad everyone made it through Thanksgiving (for those who celebrate it) and perhaps a long weekend.

I prayed and meditated a bit this morning for a 'new attitude'. I feel myself slightly going downhill (mild depression). Hanging with God all day and checking in here will certainly help make this a good day.
