Thanks Dee

Thanks Willow, it’s sore but I can live with it and a few of my prescribed painkillers to ease it. actually in my exercises I think I’m holding back a bit, worried something inside will come adrift I know it’s probably silly but that’s what I think sometimes.

Gosh it feels so warm outside. Alexa tells me its 19°C (66°F) it’ll dry my washing when I get Mr. Mags to peg it out.

It is warm outside Mags, even though Alexa is telling me it's 20c, it feels much warmer. So with it being a lovely day I'm stuck at home waiting for (yet another) parcel from amazon. It's due to arrive in the next three hours so at least I'll be able to get out for a walk at some point this afternoon.

I can't remember Mags, do you now have a plaster on your wrist?

Congratulations AthensDawgs! An alcohol free weekend is great, an alcohol free holiday weekend is even better.

Congratulations from me too AthensDawgs.

Robbie the plaster is off and I wore a splint for a while but the physio has given me an tight elasticy glove to take the swelling down and it’s working but it’s itchy and annoying to wear. Hopefully for not much longer. I hope your parcel arrives soon so you can get out in the sun for a walk. It feels hotter here too.

Go AthensDog! You're through the very hardest bit.

Physical Terrorists
Too funny, Magsie. Keep pushing yourself. Can you imagine the copious amounts of alcohol you would have consumed if you did this while still drinking? Ugh. I used to think it was a great painkiller.

Good to see you Mesa, I'm glad MesaMate's surgery was successful.

Bim, oh gosh, I’d have been blotto most of the time if I’d been drinking and probably made it ten times worse!

Glad your wrist is moving better, Mags. Sweet progress.

Thanks for the pics, Free, and for the Breckenridge photos, MesaMan. Lots of beauty. Glad MesaMate’s procedure went well.

Had a whole post typed out and lost it...

I'm trying to get caught up at work and will go back and read the whole thread and post a longer reply in a bit when I can.

Had a really busy weekend with moving my daughter back to the dorm on Saturday (which took pretty much all day) and then yesterday I had a bunch of stuff to do around my house (3-day weekend here) including putting a new TV antenna up on my roof. It involved several things I had never done before, like putting new connectors on the ends of coaxial cable that was up on the roof leftover from when I had a satellite dish. I did it all by myself, and it works great. Pretty proud of that.

I did get to spend one day of the weekend tooling around in the new car! Man Friend and I took a little road trip along the Mississippi with the top down. It was glorious! I sure love the new wheels. It's great fun!

Brilliant Marty! I love your new car. I’m impressed at you going on the roof and putting up a new antenna and connectors.

Beautiful car, MLD; it suits you beautifully. Well done on the antenna installation; you lost me at coaxial and the words “roof” and “Leigh” don’t belong the same sentence.

I had to go to the grocery this morning and I've gotten very used to no traffic at 7:30 AM. HOLY mackerel, the kids are back in school and that seriously affects my immediate neighborhood. Took me forever, but I'm so happy for the kids (and the parents) that they're back at in-person schooling for the first time since March 2020. We'll hope and pray that it lasts.

Wow. What a mess this whole thing has been.

The car pic is awesome, MLD.

I hope so, too, Bim. Kids really need to be in school with their friends.

One of my grandsons had to quarantine for 10 ten days after a positive exposure to COVID during the first week of school. A mess, indeed.

MLD, very nice looking car. I lost a post that I had spent like an hour and a half on a few days ago.

Bimini, I can not tell you how much difference it has made in my kid to be going back to school and spending actual time in person with his friends instead of being stuck at home in his room doing zoom-school. I still think that the average skills level per driver on the road has gone down over the last 12 months though, making the roads more dangerous and stressful.
