Those vehicles could stand to be pressed washed.

Hope you feel better quickly mags.

Morning Weekenders. What a nice car collection. No one has picked the BMW 635CSI yet, so I think l‘ll go with that.

Mind you, the little yellow Fiat could be a good choice too. The bonnet is open presumably for inspection, so the engine is probably in great shape.

Wish you well, Mags.

A lovely early walk. Dogs had a swim and the sky was clear and blue.

Thats lovely Kaily. Alfie and Daisy look in their element

I spotted a tern flying by. At first I thought it was Jonathan, but I think it was too windy for him today

You probably can’t tell it’s a tern in the photo (he’s flying somewhere in the middle), but I think he was one of these fellas, a lesser crested tern

Nice pictures Kaily. The tree in the fist picture looks like a silver birch, but you probably already know that. Your water pictures of Alfie and Daisy sometimes have a nice dreamy look which I quite like.

Nice picture too, Willow. The water looks like a lagoon, rather than the ocean.

Thanks Captain yes it does look rather like a lagoon doesn’t it? The tide was out, and I was standing out in the shallow water looking diagonally back towards the beach when I took the photo. I was walking along and just trying to get a picture of the tern, but he was a bit far away to see him clearly

Stunning location and picture Willow.

Thanks Captain, I think the dreamy look comes from having a very poor phone camera, slightest movement and it blurs.

Good car choice.

Pictures always give the thread a special quality I think. Early last year, in those first weeks and months without the alcohol, it almost felt as though I were seeing a classic car, a beach, or a little white and brown dog in a landscape for the first time. Kind of like when my kid was small and so fascinated with every day things. Old pathways reestablishing themselves I suppose. The effect is not quite as dramatic now, but the pictures are still good to see.

CityBoy I understand what you say. It’s living in the present with a clear head, enjoying our precious present the here and now.

CaptainHaddock nice choice of car.

Willow I can see the bird in the middle of your pic. Great view! I could spend a lot of time there. I felt envy when you said you were in the shallow water taking a pic…..walking barefoot in the water. Wonderful.

Kaily aw I love see Alfie and Daisy pics they’re really enjoying themselves. Hope you are enjoying it too. Love it.

It’s 26° C (78.8°F) and very hot or seems it to me.

We're having dog days here too. (of summer...) Quite warm.

Westfalia is just a type of VW van that has a pop-up. I think there's a blue VW van for you Willow. Or we can switch, you're more of a camper person than I am and I like blue.

I woke up in a bit of an ansty funk, you guys helped banish it with your light banter, so thank you.

I hope you feel better, Mags. Chicken soup! Mr Mags can heat up a can, right?

Yes even though I was out at 7.30am my face is very sun kissed in a red and blotchy way .

And OK Kaily....I can do the tiny Fiat. Vroom.....possibly....if they can get the engine going.

Kaily the sun treats me that way too

Bim, chicken soup sounds good but it’s too warm here. But he picked some rosehips from his mum’s rose hedge and made some rosehip syrup. Full of vitamin C&D so hopefully it will send my cold packing!
Pleased you felt better when you read the banter.

Oh, thanks for reminding me...there is a huge hedge of wild roses near me and I've been meaning to research how and when to harvest the hips. I just Googled it.

Poised and ready!

Mags, take care of yourself - chicken soup, bone broth, steamy showers to keep your lungs clear.(Edit: just read how warm it is there; Mr. Mags gets more kudos for the rose-hips; thanks, Mr. Mags for taking care of our Mags).

Sao, the story behind those all of those cars is so curious. I wonder if Jay Leno will be interested in any of them. We recently became a one car family; we haven’t missed the second car at all.

Kaily, thanks for the pics!

Cool post, CityBoy; brain re-etching - yup.

Excellent photos!

Sending positive vibes Mags, I suppose you have been in contact with more people recently which would explain the cold.

Series 1 635s are making good money now. They were not big sellers in the early days.

A Westfalia/Westphalia is a type of VW camper, I think that was where the original ones were built.

andyh, it was probably quite deliberate, to prepare the three of them for having to share a tent.
