A brilliant result. I'm now celebrating with a cup of tea and a couple of digestives!

Blimey!

We were so good that at 4-0 up and 5 minutes to go I could relax.

The timing of the first three England goals was perfect, mentally there was no coming back from that.

I am really impressed with our players on and off the pitch. Denmark next. I will have my open sandwiches at the ready.

Same here. I'm also grateful to be hangover free today too which I imagine some of the people who were drinking while watching the match last night won't be.

What a fantastic game! It was a shame someone had to lose. Jorginho's penalty (the final penalty) was as cool as a cucumber. Congratulations Italy, commiserations Spain.

To misquote Ozzy Osbourne - watching football sober is like completely different from watching football drunk.

The trepidation continues...

Well, Semi Final day has arrived along with the trepidation that comes with it.

I have a terrible and probably heretical confession to make. I really loathe the official or unofficial England football team song Three Lions - football's coming home blah blah blah. It really gets up my nose and it is everywhere, grrr. There, I've said it.

That apart I am looking forward to the match. Here's hoping...

^ "it's coming 'ome" etc - the song does get bellowed out often!

Here's hoping, indeed. Not long to go now

I quite like it 🤪 The only thing I don’t like is the “30 years of hurt” lyric. It was bound to get old and it has!

Hope Team Sober have a good night. I have a triathlon at the weekend, and I’m slow enough as it is so no egg custard tarts, digestives or chocolate for me!

Yes! Well done England, we're in the final now.

Hopefully everyone's nerves are calm again now.

Commiserations to the side that did not win; amazing atmosphere at Wembley; well done the lads.

Denmark certainly ran out of steam. They were quite scary for much of the first half.

Imagine playing in that game and having to play again in four day’s time! It’s England’s biggest game in 55 years! No pressure.

This is a good England team. Even I’ll admit that. They’ve beaten some good teams on the way to the final.

I am 99% sure Italy is going to take it.

However, when I'm that sure, I'm usually wrong.
