Checking in day 10. Just found out, instead of working, my hubby is at the casino. Really want to drink. Not going to, but it would be so easy to walk into my garage and pour a drink. But we all know where that road leads.
That is tough BTG. Stay sober. When I was drinking, I would lose my mind when tough issues like you are facing today popped up. Drinking I would inevitably overreact, say and do things I regretted, and do further damage to my relationships. Even if your spouse has some explaining to do, you might not be in any shape to listen or react while drinking.

Day 15. Had labs today, always stressful. I already postponed them once, so i had go get them done. My liver enzymes have been high since last Summer, which started me on this journey. With sobriety came more clarity, and more awareness of how my alcoholism effects my life and those people in my life. More reasons to quit! My liver enzymes have gone down, but are still high. Well shall see how this round goes, I have a feeling they are still high tho. My 2/3 weeks off 1 week on, I'm assuming is hard on the body. Have to deal with whatever comes my way, much easier to do that sober.
Hi BTG,
I’ve got a good feeling for you. I think you will never drink again; that you have finally steeled yourself to the obvious fact that it would be absolutely ridiculous to decide to drink some more after quitting for weeks on end.
Your son will love you and your husband’s Beast will hate you. You know how derelict it would be to try and satisfy your own and/or your husband’s Beast of booze ever again. Let yours die before it gets you to push daisies before your time. There’s grandkids to look forward to some day. I know, it’s awesome.

Hi BTG,
I hope you’re enjoying the idea that being under the influence of alcohol is finally behind you; and that you are ignoring whatever baloney may be coming at you from your husband’s AV as well as your own AV.

Made it to day 20. Then drank a glass of wine with dinner and a few drinks the following day. Back on day 2. Labs came back and my liver enzymes are still elevated... lower, but still not where they should be. So basically, every time I drink I am causing more damage to my body. Awesome. Guess I'm taking the long way to sobriety, as long a I reach my destination.
