I keep hearing that people who have left the facility have relapsed. This simply reminds me that it isn't necessarily a good idea to stay in touch with other former patients.

Everyone on the programme here is supposed to devise a recovery plan, whether they stick to them is another matter.

No motivation. No motivation to even do the AA Zoom meetings which don't take much effort. I felt better in my first week sober when I was 'pink clouding', albeit briefly. Signed up for an external hospital walk then dropped out (it was cancelled anyway due to rain so I didn't feel so guilty).

I'm not ready to leave here. If I'm discharged this week will book into hotel get some Valium and end it. 46 years, it's been a good innings.

Is there someone there in rehab that you can talk to about how you're feeling, Sort?
a doctor or counsellor?

Can you ring a crisis line? (there are international links here)

https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...ease-read.html

I think it's probably common to be scared and fearful coming out of a safe place like rehab back into the world - I'd expect rehab staff see it all the time.

Ask for help man.

They've agreed I can stay for the time being and have put me on Seroquel. Quite spaced out.

That is a relief sortofhomecomin. I was really fretting for you. Please stay with us. I'm glad you reached out for help. What you are feeling is something that I suspect your health care providers are very accustomed to and please continue to let them help you. Hang in there and keep posting if you can.
