Are you really into him or is it more of a common lifestyle thing? Are you crazy about him and just need space or does he annoy you?
I just don't know. There are things that annoy me, for sure. I think what bothers me the most is that I feel like he'd crawl over broken glass to do do any tiny little thing I mention I need done around my house, or get me anything I want, even though he has no money. For example, I mentioned in passing that I needed to pull the weeds under my deck. Yesterday while I was at work he came to my house and did it. Without telling me. He has done other things like that. It was nice, but just kind of made me feel weird. Today he was texting me that he was a complete mess and bawling during his dinner break at work. All I did was tell him I wanted to talk about some things that were making me uncomfortable. He's showing his cards in a big way. I didn't say anything about dumping him and he's a complete puddle. That feels really bad and like a big red flag.

I'm treating myself for dinner tonight. NY Strip, steamed Yukon golds, fresh local sweet corn. Feels like a celebration. I feel relieved that I'm asserting myself with handyman instead of just letting myself get dragged down into something I'm not ready for.

yeah, that kind of manipulative over-emo reaction wouldn't fly with me either, MLD.

How long is he sober?

I had an amazing three days of training with an extraordinary individual. Quite something... and quite unexpected. I won't be able to process it fully until I sleep on it. Will type more about it tomorrow.

LB, hit "Quote" on my post to see How They Do That.

(you just have to look at the image size before you link it...not bigger than 700 X 700 is good forum size.)

Almost two years, this time. He had over 16 at one time, but relapsed for about two years - he was drinking when I dated him before. I broke up with him back then for pretty much the same things that are bothering me now. We discussed all this before dating this time, and he promised it wouldn't happen again.

Well, at least he's consistent.

Like they say on F & F - when they show you who they are, believe them.

I'm going to cry again - well you would cry too if you had to watch SATC.
You're not old - and you've come a long way in just a few years Tetra.
You deserve all the happiness joy and intimacy that life and good relationship can bring.

This guy was definitely not right for you, but someone else will be

Btw I met Mrs Dee at 40...

Definitely waaaay too needy Marty! You can't walk on eggshells the rest of your life for Pete's sake! It's way too much stress to be responsible for someone else's over-active emotions/feelings. Too bad he's such a nice guy...makes it so much harder.

On the drug test lady today....what made it so bizarre is that she was a new hire and she initiated the appointment! It wasn't a random test at all! So weird!

Left over pizza and a perfect tomato for dinner! I'm a happy camper!

Oh, my friend and I finally finished season one of the outlander series last night. Sooo good, but I don't like super graphic violence right before bed so had strange dreams. Anyway, we're reading the second book in the series then we'll binge watch season two! I was skeptical about it at first but it's got a lot of neat history in it and Jamie is pretty hot lol! (PS...Don't watch if sex and nudity offends you).
