showered.. called it a day... a full day but no overtime... maybe a little...

so I'm just started on the end and meticulously pulling out the roots on these reddish clover plants - they are tough buggers! and lots of them... anyway, I feel this crawling up my arm, well. scampering is more like it... a friendly spider! he runs up my arm, turns around and runs back down and jumps off at my wrist... okay, he's gone, next thing I know there he is again running up my arm, turns around and runs down and jumps off the back of my hand, after the THIRD time he did it I saw him booking it across the driveway..., I had several spider encounters and saw many different insects, many of which were crawling on me... and ANTS! but they were tame today... and of course a few bees landing on me... I get along with the bees... it's the ants that bother me most...

making stuffed flounder and etc...

but a tasty burger does sound good...

Tetra, people who tend to say "look at me, I'm old. I'm 34" are people who don't actually believe that. They're saying it to make someone else feel better about themselves. You're not old. I've told you before, I'll tell you again. You're just feeling down and vulnerable. It will go away. Truly.

I'm looking out the train window and thinking just how lucky I am not to be stuck in traffic. although, the first day I'm on the train the cars are flying by on my usual driving route. Isn't that always the case?

Stuffed flounder sounds good LB, what stuffing do you use

I had grilled swordfish with new potatoes in pesto and a green salad which went some way to mollify me after that disagreeable letter from HMRC

Bed is beckoning, see you tomorrow

how do you guys find the motion things and post them... I tried it once and it was way "too large" to post... anyhoo

I'm just using the premade phillips crabcakes I have to stuff the flounder, but it's gonna be good... I looked at swordfish, and halibut - spare the halibut jokes please - both a little pricey for me... it has been a while since I grilled swordfish... or mako shark... but I don't think I can get it in stores, around here at least...

Brynn, that story about the pet and the drug test is hysterical.

Tetra, I'm concerned about the comment above. It's true that life throws difficult things our way, things that exacerbate our sadness and/or loneliness. But we cannot default to drinking as a "solution." Choosing to drink -- or wanting to but being unable because of money -- is not in included in our list of potential ways to cope with hardship.

Life will always throw curveballs at us. Deciding to drink in response is not handling them.

Tetra, ditto what Venecia said about the drinking. No you may not drink. It won't make anything feel better, only worse.

Brynn, that was really funny about the "service" animal in the bathroom. Was she thinking that pet urine would be untainted? Eww.

Almost to my stop. Son called to ask me to buy him Mountain Dew on the way home. The kid does not need sugar or caffeine. So the answer was "no."

Actually I sent him a message on Facebook instead before I deleted him. I know that he read it and no he did not. That says it all. Mostly I blame myself for having so little self respect.

And no I'm not drinking. Just smoking a little bit and having camomile tea instead.

Ah to be 35 again. ...sounds heavenly.
But....I was very grateful that I was able to come home early from work. Had a strange upset stomach...which has passed. I'm happy to rest, relax, and watch some tv. Got a busy day tomorrow.

getting drug tested and alcohol tested was routine for me... A LOT!
they had blue or purple dye in the toilet, no sink - an isolated room with a bowl, you were not allowed to touch ANYTHING, you had to sign that you had nothing to drink or eat within 15 minutes of test - including chewing gum a cigarette - anything, and also, if you coughed or sneezed...
if you coughed in front of the tester you had to sit and be monitored for 15 minutes before they would test - breathalyzer, then you had to empty everything from your pockets - and they checked,,, then wash you hands - NO SOAP, just rinse with water and towel dry,,, it was quite the routine... and if you were late, oh boy...
and no small talk... strictly business... what a pita it was...

oh, and goofing with the sample was grounds for immediate dismissal, do not pass go etc. have a nice day thanks for playing our game...

flounder was gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood! and of course squash - again...
