A Newcomers Weekender Thread Nov 27 Pt 2
Oh I'm happy you still have the budgie, JS! I used to have a cockatiel. I loved her, but she didn't like being caged, and when my son was born she got really jealous and possessive of me, so I had to give her away. She wanted to peck him all the time. Now I have the cats, so another bird is out of the question. Maybe when I'm a little old lady. Oh, wait, I AM a little old lady.
Nugget is back home with her mama. Just in time. She was melting down and nothing was working. I think she was sick of me.

Hi, W'enders,
Just back from my date. And of course, reporting in to my Board of Advisors.
It was a good afternoon. He is, as I'd hoped, a very nice man. Exceptionally bright. And I like him.
So we're parting ways after the museum exhibit, followed by coffee/conversation, and he says something I couldn't hear because a car roared by. "I'm sorry, I didn't hear you," I say. And his response was something like it would be nice to get together with you again. Another car roaring out of the parking ramp. So I said something like "yes" and nodded affirmatively. Hope I didn't look like a knucklehead.
Shall try not to go all Carrie Bradshaw on you guys. But it was good to find someone is nice and engaging -- and feel a little of the ol' zah-zah-zoo.
There are many posts since I was here earlier. Marty, your granddaughter is absolutely adorable!

Little Lucy and Mr. Potamus are out in the kayak on the river again tonight. He's texting me pics of them. He said as soon as he put the boat down at the water's edge, she jumped right in ready to go! She'd never done this before. She was excited to go out tonight.
Her facial expressions don't convey excitement. She looks bored to me.

Tommy Techno, here, suggests no Sexting until - oh - after the 3rd Date. I'm Old School about such Protocol.-)
Great Vid, Brain, from my Home Turf. Good recovery on the Mic Stand malfunction.
