Cool pics, as always, SP.

Glad the date went well Ven. Hopefully he will be a gentleman.

Happy St Andrews day if you are in Scotland, Greece, Romania, Russia, Poland, or Ukraine.

Mrs B is exhausted. Hopefully we will get some sleep tonight.

B

Well I haven't actually been interviewed for the job yet which is why I was surprised to get that email two months after I applied for the position.
It is for a Receptionist/Accounts Clerk. I don't have a huge amount of accounts experience but I did just complete a course in Manual & Computerised Payroll which I passed with an overall merit grade.
My old boss wrote on my reference something like: "very capable worker - never needed to be shown how to do something twice" so I could pick it up quite quickly.
I will write back and say I'm still interested in the position. Plus it is nice to know that my CV is impressive.

And thanks for all the advice and support guys.

It has been particularly cold and dry here in the PNW lately. The poor dog has been itching...dry skin the vet tells me. So, I bought a humidifier this weekend.
I call it McSteamy.

I gotta say, this has been a fast paced thread. It made me think of a song - of course.

Have a good night, glad all made it through thanksgiving here in the states. Glad our friends across the ponds and across the border are doing well. BigS should be posting some more fabulous shots for us to be envious soon.

Weasel I think you ought to rename the thread. Instead of 'weekenders' maybe something like, "As The Thread Turns (flips)" or "All My Weekenders" or something like that. Lots of subplots going on...

Say goodnight Olive...

I like having a humidifier in the winter...
Venecia. ..bravo on the date!
Mld...I love being a little old woman...well, not so little, but.
Lunar...I forgot to mention earlier, I love your pets. I couldn't live with them but I can appreciate their beauty, especially the tarantula.
I just had the most delicious rib eye steak. ...yum! And a warm baked apple with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Life is good.
I'll be in bed early tonight. Yawn...
I hope all the newbie's are basking in feeling good. I never seem to take it for granted these days.

mmm. McSteamy. I've thought about getting one, too. It has been dry.

I went to the zoo again because I really need distraction this week.

Nothing to report...oh, a wild Barred Owl was above the Warty Pigs...(this is a cool audio/video capture - not the one I saw, but just like it.) There are plenty of rats, mice and fat squirrels at the zoo. I hope the owl sticks around.

I didn't see any monkey lights. hm.

McSteamy sounds vaguely familiar, olive. I think maybe greys anatomy?

Glad your date went well, Venecia! Gives all us single girls hope that there are still some decent guys out there.

I get my eggs straight from the farm and they vary in size but now that you mention it, they're usually pretty big. Hmm...

Congrats on the job offer tetra!

I wish Mexican restaurants delivered like Chinese places do!

I've just started drinking again.
If Dee asks me if I have a plan and why, I'm not really sure.
Sorry team. I'll try to stop tomorrow
I was doing so well and I feel incredibly bad.
My mom just came here, awesome.....

Mr. Potamus is bringing home some Community Coffee French Roast for the morning. Looking forward to it.

I did loads and loads of laundry today. Pretty tired of it now. Last load is currently drying.

Ordered some textbooks for the proofreading course. Some of them were outrageously priced.

I have a super long day tomorrow, at both jobs. This is getting old. PMS today too. Why does it occur on the worst work day of the month this time? Terrible, terrible timing.

LBrain, the tempo of that song is perfect for the tempo of this thread now

I lived in Lake Tahoe for a few years. I was outside splitting wood in the dead of winter (so, May...no, kidding - I think it was December, just before Christmas - there was a lot of snow.) Anyway, I'm splitting wood and a budgie comes and lands on the back of my truck in the driveway. I talked to it and it came and landed on my shoulder. It was really tame and I'm sure freezing and starving. I took it inside and left it with food, water, and closed into my bathroom. It took up residence on the towel rack.

I didn't want a bird. I've had birds. I called the local animal shelter and told them I had it. A few days later its owners called and they came and picked it up
Turns out the bird had gotten loose three weeks earlier! Lucky or smart, dunno which - but it went home safely.

Because you want to stop, Jen. Ugh. I feel for you - you're going to really regret this.

What happened?

It's one big old waste of time, Jen. Not to mention the depression, anxiety, and if you black out, the danger.

Hope you pour it out, Jen.

Jsbodhi! Dump it out now! If you stop now, you won't feel so horrible tomorrow. Think this through. It's ok-just stop now.
