We did actually see sights other than the British imports store. A couple faves. I was going to use the Picasa tool Big S recommended but am too beat after the long drive back to learn anything new at the moment.

Where did you go Venecia?

I'm channel surfing. House Hunters International. First episode was searching for the perfect house in the Belize rain forest. Second episode is San Miguel de Allende Mexico. I can dream. BigS is already there.

Tetra...enjoy your stay in Dublin. Sounds great to me.
I'm spending the day with friends in the mountains tomorrow. Should be nice and relaxing. Then Sunday I have tons to do. Yardwork, freeze peaches, and watch GIANTS football.

Hey, Ruby, I was in Door County, Wis. Loved, loved, loved it.

BTW, I have a couple pictures on Page 8, too, just for our British W'enders.

I love kit kats but have only had the American version. Another reason to go to the UK.

Venecia your photos are beautiful. So glad you had a good trip with your mom.

Have fun tomorrow HAF!

Sweet dreams y'all!

Venecia, those are gorgeous pictures! By the way, how do you share pictures here?
Ruby, so funny, I was just in talks with the producer of House Hunters International to be on the show! But apparently my house isn't cool enough
and I've lived here to long.

I am enjoying a lovely, lovely morning with coffee in bed. Last night I met a friend for a pizza. She is someone I haven't seen in a while and we don't keep in touch too much, but I really like her. We met at my very favorite pizzeria and had a really nice time. I was very pleased with myself that the conversation flowed nicely and I didn't feel so awkward. I am fine with my Italian, actually most people tell me it is excellent, but I am still aware that I make some grammatical mistakes and I feel so stupid. I have "protected" myself from this humiliation in two ways- one by socializing in larger groups and two by drinking. But last night it was one on one without alcohol and it went fine!
After I finish my coffee I am going to go mow my grass and then I need to tackle my vegetable garden. It was my first year gardening, I built a 2 meter by 6 meter raised garden bed and filled it up. Way too many seeds. Me and the kids were having fun and I didn't pay attention to the rules and we just planted too many seeds, too close together. I had zucchini to feed a small army, tomatoes by the thousands, cucumbers, eggplant, carrots, sunflowers, peas… but it was a huge jungle. I have now learned a lot and will be sure to give things proper room to grow next year. As such, I have decided to not plant anything for the winter. I want to pull out everything and bring in a load of horse manure and continue my compost. That way it will be clean and ready for next spring. Lots of work, but I can't wait!

Awesome pictures!!!

Good morning!

I am all exercise all day. I am trying for 40,000 fitbit steps. that's roughly 18 miles of hoofing it today. Why? Cuz its a personal goal. Why? Cuz drunk I never did anything to keep my body healthy. Why? Cuz I like myself much more healthy. Thats good enough isn't it?

So shower and the off to watch the sun rise as I walk into town for a coffee.

Have a great day! Check back in later!

K

I never think about how unusual my first name is until I go to a Starbucks. (There isn't one in my home place.) I always spell it out for the staff and they still have no idea how to pronounce it

At least it is sunny in Dublin (finally!) and I am glad I came. It is lovely to be out and about.

Sounds great to me!

The first cold front (around here that means less-hot front) of the season has managed to push through bringing a bit of a break in the humidity and making the trees rustle in the wind. I love it. May put some Cornish hens on the smoker later on, but for now gym time. Why? Cuz I like myself much more healthy. That's good enough.

The other thing that amuses me about Starbucks is how every second person has a laptop and is "working". A laptop in a coffee shop? Really?
Messing around on Facebook is not "work"

What amuses me about Starbucks are caramel frappuccinos. I love those things. But for this morning it's instant coffee....black.

Have fun in Dublin Tetra!

What amuses me about Starbucks is that they consider that stuff "great coffee"!

Whaaaa??????
Saturday already?!?!?!

Actually I was pre-occupied with two unexpected deaths
and their subsequent wakes, etc. Then at same time, had dad in
hospital for a doppler heart test; all day affair, so far so good.
Sharing, hmmm. Well I enjoy buying things/gifts for others
as Bimini had also previously mentioned, but now I'll share who I really
am, with you guys now.

Don't mind me. Just catching up
and putting my two cents in before
leaving for work.

Speaking of birds, two years ago
in Otsego County, NY, I saw a scissortail
flycatcher.
Oklahoma's state bird!
If you come across an Oklahoma state quarter,
it's on the back.
Sort of melon-coloured bird, with long scissor-like tail,
sort of dark grey to black.

I thought someone had lost their pet parrot.
Couldn't squeeze off a photo, happened too quickly.
Here is a google image.

That is a cool bird, Lunar ! I've never seen one.

Up early this Saturday morning. It's 40 F here! Went to take the dog out and had to scurry back in for my down jacket! Nothing much planned for today. Might drive a bit and go to a beautiful state park an hour from here to hike. It's a gorgeous park that's right along the St. Croix River. It has great hiking and views. Will also check out the small but very nice annual art fair here in my town. It's fun because I always see tons of people I know. I seem to remember being too hungover to go last year. Should be a pleasant day.

40 already?
Was 96 here yesterday.
Looking forward to cooler temps at this point,
but not ice/snow.
Well, not quite yet. Off to work, have a great day,
MLD51 and everyone!
