I hope those frogs are resting, also.
frogs are strange creatures. ...turtles are even stranger. Prehistoric looking to me.
used to catch pickerel back in the day....too many bones for me. Now I can't fish because I can't bear to kill the fish. Bad enough from the store, but at least I'm not killing it. I'm getting really sensitive in my old age.
siesta time...spent the morning preparing a winter garden bed. Now I need a nap.
I hope everyone is having a nice Sunday.

Nuff, for the little frogs.
My next buddy will be an African Bullfog.
"Pixie Frog", if you will.
Grows from size of a quarter to size o' oven stuffer roaster.
Yep, it's true. 'Specially the way ole' lunar would feed it.
8lb+
Eats, ....well..... just about anything.
G'nite.
Ain't she purty?

Couldn't resist. Pickerel frogs, leopard frogs. They're all good. Not that I've eaten frog legs. Don't think I'd want to.

Kids and I are at my parents. My dad made his way downstairs and is sitting with us.

Marty, white vinegar and elbow grease should satisfy the "we are the world" green cleaning products. People want green and don't want to put in the scrubbing effort. Doesn't work that way. A dehumidifier and air purifier helps out too. But I understand the worries and frustrations.

Soberclover, I'm glad you got out of the house. Keeping busy is important.

Sao, are you crass? Wouldn't have said so. The crass in procrastination. I like that.

Watching old time cartoons. Little Audrey and Betty Boop.

The reptile exhibit I saw a few weeks ago had an African bullfrog named "chomper". He was cool. But apparently aptly named

Lunar, that frog looks like something out of star wars. Not sure if I like the looks of it-it is not a cute little frog-

Midnight ,
regret , disappointment and resentments can drag our recovery backwards .

There is quite a bit of dealing with resentments in AA literature , I try to see and deal with them as they arise ..
For instance in the old days i could seethe for a week over some idiots driving .. Very useful for this alcoholic to use as a reason to drink .
These days if i'm feeling depressed i think it's always good to try and achieve at least one thing .

Be gentle on yourself , you were suffering from and you are getting over a deadly disease .

I'm with mex on trying to achieve at least one task when I'm feeling depressed. It's amazing what checking just one item off the to-do list does for the psyche!

Ken....cole slaw sounds really good right now. I'm out of dinner ideas and I don't like cooking for just myself but if I don't eat a regular meal I'll just end up snacking all night! ( and my snacks aren't even the good kind). Maybe Mac and cheese and a salad.

What a day!

Beautiful drive around the coast, that included a ferry ride. Watched the big match in a bar filled with drunk people. Explored the area some more, then went for dinner. We did not book accommodation ahead, but chanced upon a B&B in a 200 year old house that the owner is trying to maintain in its original style. Filled with nautical antiques.

Sitting on our bed now in robes, relaxing watching terrible TV! I never would have imagined a trip like this in the past without a feast of Guinness throughout the day.

Still on the sober bus this spectacular Sunday. Just wanted to check in this evening.... going to cook supper now - BBQ pork chops, potatoes and vegs.

Enjoy your evening everyone. Look forward to waking up Monday with a clear-head. :-)

Hey team.... Nighty night.

Anyone remember Sunday night TV? Wild world of kingdom? Wonderful world of Disney? 7 pm till 9 and then ushered to bed yawning by mom.

*yawn*

Ribs sounds so good...how do you make them weasel? I used to boil them for about an hour before putting them on the grill. I guess I'm having left over spaghetti and a salad. Nothing on hand to cook and I'm not going out.
Itwillbeworthit, pork chops sounds good too.
I woke up from my nap hungry!

HaF.... I make them by calling in an order to Moe's down the street!

Fry the spaghetti in a little butter or even olive oil.... Let it sizzle... Tastes so good!
