Acid-etched Concrete Floor throughout.

We figgered Throw Rugs - and Accents like the Dog Bed at the foot of the Master Bed - would break up any monotony. Ef of an Etching job I did when younger.

Mask up. With a Garden Sprayer, spray on wicked, ~$50-/Gallon Etch. Do it again to pop highlights. Throw away Shoes and Clothes worn while Etching. Otherwise, the Concrete looks like any ole Wally World, or Coffee Shop, Floor. Some Copper_y greens, and other colors, as almost seen below.

Went with Wax instead of High Gloss finish that is also uber-wicked on the Nose. Also, the gloss reminded us of some old Movie Dance Scene Choreographed by Busby Berkeley.

Neat stuff for us Dog Owners. See Mister Happy earlier...

When I think about what it takes to be happy in Life, an Owner-scented Pillow that he loves to retrieve and trot around with keeps me calibrated. It really doesn't take a Handle of Vodka now, does it?-) He figgered that out sooner than I.

Plunked down on the bar with one hand as I picked up the glass with the other. Hardly a fair trade.

What could I do to help myself? I learned so very much from SR about what to do. A loud collective voice rang in my head after every post of yet another failure to stay sober.

"Forgive yourself."

If you allow yourself to feel guilty, you will reinforce the error rather than allow it to be undone. Move past it.

The people here have helped me realize that a softer touch is the best approach to moving past myself.

So how about our newest? or anyone really... Take this next 48 hours to do nothing but forgive yourself. If you are like me you will need to do it over and over and over as each new thought rears its ugly head.

Forgiving yourself takes practice. Real efforts. So focusing on that for a period can help train your sober mind!

Can you hear it? I can! Your sober weekend of forgiveness is here! Jump on a bus and go easy on yourself! Enjoy the ride!!!

Wow I sooo relate Ken .... especially how all the great intentions of the morning go out the window by the afternoon...vicious awful cycle isn't it.....so time for me to practice the art of forgiveness for myself and jump on the bus...... thankyou Ken

welcome to the extended weekend bus ride Julie.

I'm doing a happy dance because I discovered one of the first 500 copies of THE WHO Live at Leeds in near mint condition in my living room. The UK issue on Polydor white label with all original insert looks like they were never opened and the vinyl looks fresh from the factory! Some chucklehead wrote their name in the inside of one of the flaps... Same chucklehead wrote name on almost all of the records. But did not write on Physical Graffiti album - that too is cherry! Looks brand new! The things that excite me these days...

I can't believe this thread is still going...

Happy hump day,

You have a beautiful home MesaMan

There is a real autumnal chill outside this morning. At least it has stopped raining

Morning gang,

May you meet the hump in the day with a pep in your step!

Glad your Dad is looking a bit better Ruby!

Your home looks awesome Mr MM.

I hope you have a nice holiday Mex.

Yes, there is an autumnal feel here. But the sun is shinning. I do love this time of the year if we get a little sun. Really nice for long walks. I'll be lighting the fire the minute I get in today.

Brain feels much better today.

B

Good morning everyone. Work today and then I drop the kid's school supplies off at their school this evening. Their vacation is winding down. Tuesday is start day. I'm taking tomorrow off, working a short day Friday. I'm thinking beach tomorrow if it's not raining.

Mecanix, it's good that you're taking care of yourself.

Brain, good finds! Are you going to sell the vinyl?

Sort of why bother rolling it over at this point? New thread starts tomorrow morning.

Good morning Brynn. Good morning Della.

Greetings Sober Enders!

I quite like that it hasn't rolled over yet. Continuity.
Plus, I am not at all very good with change.

Random off day today. Last one for the summer.
Lovely Fall like weather out.
It's a good day!

Rogues with a rogue thread. Fitting.

I'm still processing my visit with my guy yesterday. It was weird seeing him sober and somber and realizing what all is truly at stake if he doesn't stay sober and out of trouble.

Still trying to decide what to have for breakfast.
