Newbie Weekender Sober Thread June 25 Pt 2
I'm not to bothered about the extra second thingy - i'm going to donate mine to Greece, give them a bit more time to pay back the Germans.
Besides my genuine Rolex that I bought from a man in the market loses more than that in a day. To be expected for £5.00 I suppose
Don'T think we are going to hit 30C today after all, maybe 29

Pushing 100 F [~38 C] Degrees here in W. Colorado all week. Toast_TEE! As the Valley ~600' below 'our' ~6,100' Mesa heats up, much cooler Air rushes in at night to fill this Uplift vacuum from the ~11,000' Mountains just a few Miles away. Keeps the Skeeters away, and felt mighty fabulous last Night. See these Mountains in the background below in the Pic of my 2nd most-favorite Peach.
No need this second for All Wheel Drive, but Da Wife is gonna spring for a Ford Escape; the loaded 'Titanium' Model. With the House Sale imminent, we're plotting out how to spend ~1/4 of our Windfall, since her low-slung, aging VW Passat won't cut it f/t over here.
Plenty of Firefighter Songs come to Mind, but I'll go with the whole 'Time' Gig for now. Great one, Sao! I'm still giggling...

That's a pain bimini that it takes that long to load. I've taken to loading straight off my phone. I'm going blind-er and hunch backed as I'm always staring at my tiny screen with my myopic eyes.
Sao, is your 5 pound Rolex leaving green marks on your wrist?
MM, I think your wife needs a new car after reading the prior Passat sagas. It's time.

Quick check-in ...
Landscaper dude just left. Lots of good discussion and conversation, and laughs. He looked over the yard and listened to all my ideas. Said I'm on the right track for sure. The design in my yard was good, if a tiny bit too large (I agree), the maple tree needs to stay, the crape myrtle and dogwood additions are a good idea, same for the hydrangeas and camellias. He liked the flagstone and creeping jenny or creeping thyme idea on either side of the house. Loved my mailbox garden and said it looks professional.
He recommended nandina (don't know what that is yet), as well as the rental of a sod machine to go deep enough to root up all the weeds. He will haul it over here. Said I will regret it if I attempt to dig up sod by hand, and I am going to go along with this for sure. My husband said ok to it. He is also going to haul us the topsoil and mulch in bulk to save a little money. And he's going to email me suggestions for perennials over the next few days and weeks.
Now I'm off to the orthodontist, and then to Sam's to take a look at some pergo flooring.

I cannot have a grill on my balcony but I do have an electric grill. Bummer. So I had this thought to go to the state park where they have BBQ stands that are for general use. Bring the charcoal and the food. Grill and listen to the waves crash on the rocks. I think thats a decent way to celebrate.
Oh and it's offical. I have done NOTHING on this vacation. Just lazy.
Why yes it does Ruby- that's a feature of real gold isn't it?
Happy Canada Day tomorrow Zen & Avra
Nothing wrong with VW Passat (older Sis has one) maybe 4 wheel drive necessary where you live Mesa. Plus some ground clearance
