Still going strong. Either I got my day count wrong or this is day 8!
Anyways to stomach aches have mostly passed and now I actually feel great.
That artificial high one gets when your body rids itself of alcohol...

thanks for the support
On to day 9.
The extra encouragement helps!
I have been going along pretty smooth so far and have not missed it too much so far.
I will be afk for this long weekend but I am optimistic that I won't drink.

I'm sure you've probably been directed here before but I'll post it anyway:
http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...at-we-did.html
I would just suggest having a plan in place for the next time you have an urge to drink. Many of the things on that list can help you with that. Obviously a recovery support group could be of help but there are a lot of other tools on that thread to help.
For me, it required some pretty big changes in my daily living habits and routines. Obviously getting some sober time under your belt will help.
You're doing great so far but from reading this thread from the beginning I think you are aware of the challenges.

Good luck hadmyshare......reading and posting is a great start.....I'm addicted to this site and it's been keeping me sober.......37 days now......just stay engaged. There's so much good stuff here ..... I'm learning more about my addiction daily. Knowledge is power.
Day 13 is awesome! That's one more than myself. Keep posting and I encourage you to join us in the Class of May 2015 thread on this same forum.
P.S. I also had my share. And my neighbor's share. And your share. And anybody else's share I could get my hands on.

Today is turning out to be more difficult than expected. I have a craving for Beer with a certain unhealthy, salty food.
*sigh*
Maybe I could substitute the Beer with a Soda?
I know that I don't want all the other beers that come with one.

That's a definite truth there. ^^^^
Try the soda. Try taking a walk. Try going to an AA meeting. Try reading some more on here. Try whatever it takes. Keep posting here every minute if that'll keep you from drinking that beer. Wishing you the best!
