Let the sun shine in! Weekender Thread! Jan 23-25
Petals,
Pampered Chef is a line of kitchenware that is pricey but is good quality stuff. People hold Pampered Chef parties at their homes so they can get discounts & free stuff. It's kind of like the Tupperware parties or Mary Kay parties people had back in the day. Same concept, just expensive kitchen stuff. But I will say that Pampered Chef products are top quality & last forever. I have baking ware that is over 10 years old.

I'll "ride roof" with Soberwolf this weekend
The usual list of to-do's for me this weekend - wash the dogs, take them to the park, and some more decluttering as a continuation from last weekend. Also, rearranging and hanging some wall art and pictures. Cleaning the printer because it won't print!!! Won't recognize the new ink cartridges, what an effing pain.
I'm revamping my to-read list as well. Combining about four different lists into one master list.
Some new books on order from Amazon, and two of them should arrive before the weekend. Yay!

All Mixed Up
Gorgeous Weather in a Cloudless Sky now on tap, so a fine day to ride the Bus Roof!
A Family Member went to full-on Chef's School for 6 months at a top Joint, and really learned what there is to learn. The first week was spent learning proper Kitchen Hygiene, and how to sharpen Knives. $25k spent on Chef's School 'just because' it was interesting; not to ever work anyplace.
I had no idea that a Mixer on a Stand that folds down and into a Base Cabinet at this Retirement House would double as an Aphrodisiac. Da Wife loves her Mixer about that much. At my age, I figger 'whatever'.-) I can use all the help I can get.
Looking forward to this nice Weekend Cruise...

My husband would probably say similar about our cobalt blue Vitamix, lol! And then he discovered it's usefulness and convenience when he went on a smoothie kick

JT, it can be tiring, right? It takes my husband about fifteen minutes or so per dog. He is usually dripping in sweat after. We have a guest bath we use for the dogs. They really hate baths, lol. Have to drag them in there... but once they're in the warm water and getting their "massage" they seem to relax a little.

Have a quick break and then back to work.
The energy is high this weekend!
If you are unsure do exactly what serenidad has done. Hop on the bus and focus on each day of this ride. Reach out when needed!
If things get really hairy and you need more support please post on the main board too.

Hi Saoutchik, yes, jump on please! It's fun seeing what everyone is up to. A nice multinational flavor.
Ugh. I'm sitting listening to a battery trial. A post baseball game confrontation and brawl. How did I know that alcohol has a large role to play in this pageant?

Hi!
The title of this thread made me feel so happy for some reason!!
I'm hopping on too!
Going away for the weekend to my boyfriend's small mountain hometown, going to go snowmobiling, wandering around town while he spends a day with his friends ice fishing and snowmobiling, then I get to go out the next day! He doesn't take me out to the scary places places deep in the mountains ( thats for the boys ) but he's planned a nice easy route for me to go on the next day.
I know his him and his friends are going out sat night, but everyone knows I'm not drinking, so I told them all to go out and have fun, I'm going to stay at his friends house and order pizza, watch movies and study! It'll be a nice time
I'll be a designated driver later if they need me.
Happy sober weekend everyone!
Oh yeah, the sun in my life... I love walking, but I'm usually to drunk or desperate to get home to my wine to go out for a walk, I tell myself it's too cold anyway ( then in summer its too hot, I just would've rather have gotten wine)
Anyway, I bought myself a snowsuit. Problem solved, I'm looking forward to walking and exploring again!
Stay safe out there!!

Welcome, Serenidad, Saoutchik, and Jsbodhi!
Js, that sounds like a really fun weekend, and you've got a perfect attitude going into it: you're relaxed and totally at peace! That's cool that you bought yourself a snowsuit!

Thanks! I was dreading it, but I just needed to change my attitude a bit
Jumping aboard. My giant yellow lab is finally to the stage in his rehab that we can go on two ten minute walks per day. Better than nothing.
No company, get a quiet weekend to catch up on what didn't get done last weekend. And get to have darling grandson overnight Saturday.
Ruby, love the new look, it's so sophisticated!
