Picture this! Weekender thread May 16 -18!
What ya grillin OldSelf? I have a nice steak to grill later.
SU... Great pic! I was out walking this morning at sunrise as well. Love Saturday and Sunday mornings now. Best time of the week for me and I can't imagine giving them up for a Friday or Saturday night of drinking. It would crush my spirit.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Morning weekenders!
The sunrise is beautiful, SU. I think it is close to my favorite part of the day. Thinking on the possibilities, even if one of those possibilities is to just be for the day. It is also the quietest part of the day, before all the people and the noise.
Ruby, big orange cats are magnificent!

I don't mean to flood ya with cat pictures but this is a picture that I absolutely love of Henry. He has a deep look on his face. This cat is smart too. A good friend though all my drinking. I would be high on crack and look over to see him telling me to stop. I never did.

Well I was writing and went to look at something and lost it all - again.
So my mood has changed ever so slightly. Good Morning. Hope everyone has a great day.
I'll save all my silly comments for another time. SUID - you on Rehoboth?
Nice photos everyone, I took phone pic of garden yesterday - wife asked why am I taking a picture of this? If I can figure out how to get from my phone to here I will attempt to throw a weak picture at you.
Lot's to do, had grilled trout last night, having grilled trout again today - they don't keep well in the freezer. Time to get to work.

I'll take the greet tea, the steaks, the freedom from debt, the sweet cat named henry, and the gorgeous sunrise but UP you can keep the tools and the car
Great morning read SRers.
Early morning for me as well. Have domicile work to do this morning. My girls are watching 'Shera: Princess of Power' so I have a moment to write in about my sober night out
Who knew that carbonated water costs $2.00 a glass? Not me. Had a great night at the Photo exhibition last night then went to a local restaurant (one of those sustainable, local types that popped up a while ago). Ate the catch of the day and one of the best bread puddings I have ever tasted.
Totally sober. This means that I get to enjoy this day. Whatever it holds. Happy day everyone!!

Good morning. Just rolled out of bed. I just Read a post on a blog I subscribe to by a mom who is a recovering alcoholic. Today was why toddlers and alcoholics are alike. Good for a smile. 10 Ways Toddlers are Just like Tiny Alcoholics
Henry is cool. I love his contemplative face.
Great sunrises. I missed it today so I will live vicariously.
LBrain, I totally understand typing some deeply profound and humorous post and losing it. Well, mine aren't all that deep . Anyway, I took my photos with my phones and this is how I posted them here. I took the photo and then sent them in a text to my personal email account. Then I opened and saved it and then went to tiny pics. Kind of involved but it worked.
Time to referee kids. Son acted perfectly last night. Not so much this morning. Throwing things all over the place.

went to church and now watching little league baseball. stopped at store on way and while waiting to check out a totally disheveled guy is in front paying. fumbling with his debit card. the woman in back of him starts in on him asking him if he knew what he just did. you're not driving are you? she says. he was buying beer and he peed o himself standing there while checking out leaving a puddle on the floor. my five year old daughter asking me what was going on. other little kids coming in and out. I pitied that man. A good reminder that my life isnt so bad. the clerk told him to just pay and get out which he did. she got a mop.
