Non, speaking as someone who is constantly banging their legs on the arms of furniture, I go with the taper. Less bruising. Great chairs! I love chairs.

Yeah Non, I can't believe you'd think we'd allow you to get away with non tapered armrests not curved back slightly towards the outer edge!!

I have no idea what that even means . . . great job!!

I'm always interested in pics of places whether other people live....seeing it thru their eyes, and such. I hope more folks post such pics.

That coastline pic almost looks like Patagonia or Tierra del Fuego with its stark beauty...

Love the pics Ruby, looks familiar! In my past life my daily commute made me a Library/State/Van Buren stopper for years, then became a regular at Jackson! Now I'm a Damen Blue Line dude, hipster city out here. Too bad it was such a crappy week this week weather-wise but hopefully it'll clear up and next week we'll have more pleasant waits for our beloved CTA and Metra trains!

My very favorite place. View from my parents cabin in the San Juan Islands.
I am not there this weekend, but I will be there in a few times this summer.

Awesome Olive! I always read about the San Juans and wish.

Big Sobrero, you nailed it. I see the great curlicued top edges of the library from the station, right by the library/state/van buren stop. Those edges looked like gargoyles to me today. Ready to come off the building.

TNG, I like seeing where other people live through their eyes too. Travel somewhere else if only in my mind.

Went to my Friday night meeting and am resting up for tomorrow which demands the physically impossible. Being three different places at the same time. A memorial service, a baseball game and a piano lesson. Add to that, we turned down a birthday party invitation. We are going to a school activity and a gratitude dinner for my Friday night AA group. That is six different things in one day. Maybe on Sunday I can rest for oh, half an hour. When I was still drinking I maybe would have managed the early stuff but come two o'clock I would have been hunkered down, already drinking. Glad I am no longer compelled to do that.

I hope everyone is doing okay tonight.

Good morning Sobrienators!

Yet another chair pic. I was up at 0430 and finished the second one this morning. I also added some armrest supports at the top of the front legs, and added the curved tapers I mentioned before. You can kind of see how the front edge of the armrest curves back a little now (easier to see on the bottom chair). Should be softer on the hands when pulling oneself out of the seat. Looks better, too, I think.

I wanted to get these two finished for today. I am gifting them to some friends of ours that we are seeing this afternoon for the college graduation party of two of their kids. They are the only non-family people who know of my drinking problem, and they have been great about it. Just a little gratitude gift from a reformed drunkard.

Hope everyone has a GREAT Saturday.
