I like this thread! Planning and executing a real supper is a strange experience lately. Strangely good. I used to just grab whatever I could for the sole purpose of reducing a hangover, or giving myself 'fuel' to drink more. Ugh...the stuff I ate!

So, back to supper. Tonight I had butter chicken, dal makhani, and rice. I also made chai tea in the slow cooker. Hm. It is only now that I see a theme here. That was a coincidence.

ViciousCycle, it's the first time I made it and it was delish! Water, tea bags, sugar, fresh ginger, cinammon sticks, spices - plop everything in and cook for 2.5 hours. So easy. It makes about 8 cups. You keep the rest in the fridge, and heat it up as you use it.

Here is a link to the recipe: TLC Cooking "Chai Tea"

Oh, and a big WORD on the cheeseburgers. Love 'em

I'm trying to come up with something to take to the club for the christmas Eve meeting/feed.... then for another wonderful dinner at the place I had the great thanksgiving! Well, the NON-thanksgiving... if you remember.

Anyway - I think pumpkin pie is good enough for the eve meeting.
Plop down a pkg of Cool Whip next to it -0 that's great.

But I wanted to do something special for the folks
over at the 'alter-Native' dinner.

Someone over on another thread
spoke of 'Ginger-Peach' salad dressing.
Does that sound good, or WHAT???

so I thought steamed veggies
with a choice of sauces to slather over 'em?

He's cooking a ham AND a turkey.
I was like - 'what , no duck?'
LOL

HEY!! What happened to my pic of that scrumptious cheeseburger??!!

Glad you made it home trucker.
Now I may need to get some hot green tea with honey. I feel a sinus infection coming on.
I have eaten like 6 oranges since last night.

Thanks for the Chai recipe Spryte!

Not really a dinner tonight, I have my Christmas banquet at bowling and every year I am requested to make my famous deviled eggs! Secret: I put in horseradish and it seems to make people happy! I have about 30 eggs cooking right now so I will be busy mixing and filling.

Hey Barb, get that ginger-peach salad dressing recipe!!!!!!!!

Hope you feeling better Aysha!!
