I am also beginning day 17 and feeling really good about my success so far. Especially the fact that I did not drink yesterday despite it's being the day from Hell. I think I may have finally "gotten it right"!!

So yesterday night was a little tough. I went to bed nice and early, even though my neighbor and his drunken friend from NYC were out on the porch drinking and talking. Normally I'd stay up til the cows came home with them but I resisted. I heard them talking though and it made me sad. Oh well, I feel great today though...no hangover obviously. One more day...

Good morning everybody. Day 8 for me and I have not had any cravings since day 2. I feel pretty good, sleep is kind of random with crazy semi hallucinagenic visions some nights, but otherwise everything is kool. Glad to see more people are joining and people are trying really hard to stay sober, which is all anyone can ask. We can all do this!

Day 8 for me, too! Getting better every day. Nothing seems quite real yet, but at least the anxiety is subsiding and the energy is coming back.

Day 44 today. I feel good. I think most of you know I got out of a relationship almost 4 months ago. I finally told him to take a hike after I get my license back.. Our relationship was on his terms and now he is trying to make out friendship NO THANKS!!!!

I feel stronger today because I realized he is jack @ss that thinks that I will one day be a better person and I will be waiting for him. Nope!!!

I will find my happiness within me!!!

Hi gang, I think part of recovery is taking care of those little life things normal people do, when I quit for 6 months last year I had bad pain in a few teeth and was going regularly to the Dentist for the first time in years....when I started drinking again I missed two appointments on the run without letting them know and they struck me off their list....SO I found another Dentist and had my first appointment today.
A small thing but it shows how when I am in drinking mode I just don't do these things.

Gym tomorrow!
I am so unfit it is ridiculous, gonna take it easy, lol!

Wow! Haven't been here much for past few days. Now we're on page 3 of the second thread. Amazing in a great way.

Day 18 and starting to work more of those little (and big) things that we don't get around to while in drinking mode....like Stone said.

Hard to believe how many of those things there are to do! Oh well, good to be busy.

STONE, I am working through a 4 page list of those "little things" now, and a few not so little...LOL! I can relate!

And I've been easing back into exercise as well...I don't want to push the ticker too hard right now. Just the fact that you can make it to the gym regularly is a good accomplishment in self-discipline. Don't wimp out...you'll feel better after a good workout. And you'll sleep better too

I can't believe I'm still sober for 17 days now!! I too used to be a relapse queen and this is the second longest I've been sober since last December.

Thank you friends! :ghug

Thank you God! :praying

Wish that I could get it LOL

What day are we on Mikey?

OK still clean and sober.

What is happening in my neck of the woods?

well I moved to Lincoln to be closer to my Sister who has been hospitalized for a few months now. But with the weather here and the humidity and it is a lot further to walk just to get to my apartment. I checked out my stats today at the hospital where she is or had the nurse check me out.

My heart rate was at 121
My oxygen level with 3ltrs of oxygen was at 93%

I have been having heart pains here the past few days. My feet were swollen 3 times the size of them normally but have gone down finally today. That wasn't fun LOL

Other than that I am leaving on Friday morning have to drive back my nephews car back to here Saturday and than get my car and head back home.

I feel selfish in doing this but I know that physically I can't handle the life in the city anymore. I am just not there. Well have to go and do something even if it isn't right.

Paperdolls glad to see ya around
