(((OTM))) That can be frustrating….I think many of us struggle with comparing ourselves to others. What matters is that we keep working to become better versions of our own selves. (Easier said than done, right!?) Good of you to turn it into motivation!

Thanks Purp.

Hell of a day today. Brain dead customer knowingly or unknowingly spent insurance money that goes to me for his roof. Now he owes a 3200 balance and no way to pay it. the 3200 is my profit. He needs a payment plan. People ****** suck. Sometimes it feels like I'm in purgatory. I want to tap a keg and drink the whole damn thing.

That would only add to money lost OTM.
At least I hope your customer can commit to a payment plan.

Otm not sure that being single, and in an apt. Is Anything to be embarrassed about. Some are more content in that lifestyle than others. I did the married with kids etc., but am on my own these days. I don't see me living with anyone else again anytime soon....or maybe ever. If it's not working for you maybe it's time for something different though.

Am just waiting on the end of winter...even though it's only really getting started. All the end of season sales make it great time to buy some updates to my camping gear I won't use for several more months. Almost went for a short trip halfway through October. It was about 50 degrees. Overnight, and since I hadn't turned the heat on yet, about the same inside my place getting up in the morning. Got everything I need ready for motorcycle travel. Something to look forward to in the spring since it's gonna be 20 outside tonight.

This. That's me minus the kids, but same, I am really coming around to me living alone maybe forever....I seem to be the most content. Screw what society thinks.

And, OTM, it's not too late to change and I'd argue you have changed: quitting drinking is the catalyst to better things....whatever those things be.
Also, the guy who can't pay his bill? WTF. How could he spend insurance money on something else, wouldn't the insurance company know that? Smells kinda fishy to me. Not that it helps you get your money, people do suck sometimes.

Been walking the woods the last couple days. The quiet solitude is good for me. Found a bunch of different types of mushrooms, oysters, turkey tail, birch polys, and this afternoon found what looks like a huge chaga...but i think it's on a dead tree so is not worth harvesting.

Whoa, LowBones, I had to google what a chaga was, i'd never heard of that type of mushroom. Pretty cool.

Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating in the US. And have a great Thursday everyone!

Belated Happy Thanksgiving day, to those who celebrated it! Plenty to be thankful for this year, including not being hungover today!

I think my whole family minus me and the kids are hungover today. I'm loving life and feeling great. It's quite a sight to see the realities of drinking from the sober side. Definitely do not miss it.
