Congratulations everyone on the milestones! Sadly I am back on day 1, long story short had some wine while I was visiting my sister earlier in the week and have had some every night since. Not excessive amounts but every night. Poured the last of it away this morning and am determined I will make it stick this time. Sorry to be a downer. Keep at it class, that one glass is a lie.😢
You’re not a downer at all Ladytron, I totally know where you’re at. Well done on coming back
I had a complete blowout last weekend and felt so sick after the weekend. Yuk, not going there again.
I’m back into my second week, just winding up day 8 and off to bed. Feeling an awful lot better this week

Well done on day 8 willow, you’ve picked it right up again! I plan to follow your footsteps ❤️. Thank you Venus, glad to be back and going to bed sober tonight. I did 3 good things today and I am focussing on that. I poured the wine down the sink, I posted here and I attended a smart meeting. So tired tonight, I hope I get a sleep.see you guys tomorrow xx
Hi hi hi hi!
thinking of everyone struggling right now I’m right there with you!
I poured out a bottle yesterday.
I went to a very difficult funeral — it’s triggering so I’ll keep it short. He was a dear friend from the music industry and his death was directly related to complications from drinking. I drank the whole weekend, I was a mess and I was so sad about losing my dear friend.
but I’m back and I am playing through how I could have navigated that better. And I’m trying not to beat myself up.
im grateful I have a job in a positive environment and my manager is sober and he has even offered support in the recent past.
I can do this. We can do this.

Plenny I am so sorry about your friend, but glad you poured away the bottle. You are right, we can do this. Dee, I have been thinking about it and I know didn’t close the door completely. That is what I have to do, under NO circumstances is it ok for me to drink, we all know the reasons why. Thank you all for being here and being so supportive ❤️
I’m so sorry about your friend Plenny
Ladytron, yes we have to close the door completely, like Dee said.
That music festival I went to bowled me over completely, but it also opened my eyes to reality. I can’t drink. At all ever.

Thank you so much all. It means a lot
definitely working the phrase “close the door” a lot in my mind, Dee
i feel like I’m approaching this on a much deeper and more serious layer this time.
i talked to my manager/now friend/now fellow today and I’m going to a meeting with him tomorrow night.
so that’s happening
i hope everyone’s safe and well
