Class of April 2021 Support Thread Part Three
Hello Class, I’m just checking in to say hello. Things have been hectic here with getting ready to move packing etc. I’m going to a surprise party this weekend and will see a lot of people I haven’t seen in a long time, and people I don’t know which always makes me nervous. My strategy, since we are coming quite a distance is to leave fairly early and drive so if my husband wants to have a beer or two he can. He doesn’t have a problem with alcohol and I suspect he won’t have more than one since he does not like my driving😊

Hi everyone hope you all doing well,
how did u get on at the surprise party sober53? I have one next Saturday for my nephew 30th bday I'm a little bit anxious about it not sure why it's just my family going to be there.
its day 28 for me today so 4 weeks I'm so happy about I have found it easier especially at weekends with my husband not drinking.
Going to look at a house tomorrow it's a big project really to take on it but it could be a lovely home at the end .it was started being renovated they did an extension and wiring and plumbing but just left it at that. It's in a great area but a lot if work so well see. I'm hoping too many builder types wont put in offers. So I'm off now to paint the last room in the house today (cant wait till its done) so we can put it on the market. Have a great day everyone xx

Hi All,
It's Sunday afternoon here, UK, and I am nearly through my first weekend without alcohol in a very very long time, I was dreading it as it's typically when I have failed in the past. There is a difficult week ahead as currently supporting my stepfather and mother ( who has Alzheimer's) in moving house. Stuff going on with my daughter also which is tricky. I need to find a little something to look forward to in the week. The cinema's have opened here and perhaps I will go and see a film which would be a glorious treat. It is helpful to have a focus for something pleasurable. I know it's not always a good idea to count days sober but it is helping me at the moment.

I love movies.....they are absolutely my treat. But I have a lot of perfume allergies, so I prefer to watch at home.
Just saying.....don't see the Angelina Jolie one that just came out because it is stupid and a waste of money.
I had the same experience with my mum....sending you loads of love. s xx ❤️

Just been reminded of my dream I had last night, in it i was drinking vodka and 7up and i was supposed to drive somewhere the next day and i was panicking to myself as i knew the next day I wouldnt be able to drive anywhere as my anxiety would be so high and I was thinking if I could take a couple xanax and hopefully be ok to go..then I woke up sober this morning.it was all a dream 🙂 counting my blessings for that
OTP Congratulations on 4 weeks! The surprise party was fun and just family, I had not seen some in so long and there were some new babies that I got to see for the first time. There were coolers of alcoholic drinks, and lots of water, non alcoholic seltzer, and soda. I did have a cooler in our car with water, primarily for the drive home but would have gotten it out if I needed to. We are in the process of moving also. It’s a stressful time but I know in six weeks we will be settling in and exploring the new location.
