Andy, I’ll have a cuppa of what you’re drinking this morning - 45 more minutes to wait until coffee

Bekind, I’ve had winter depressions for as long as I can remember. Somehow as I get older I am finding that it seems easier to deal with it. It’s much easier to get myself moving and do things. Do you find something similar?

Have a lovely day to all of you and take good care

Good Afternoon Overs

BeKind, I’m glad it all worked out at your dad’s facility.

We visited in-laws earlier, it was mil‘s birthday today, she is 87. She’s been in good health up to a couple of years ago when she was diagnosed with dementia. We got her a ‘real-life looking’ puppy that breathes. She liked it too.

It’s a dull old day today, weather wise. Having a quiet afternoon.

Take care my friends. xxxx

I know that feeling Andy, especially this time of year, I crave carbs and all the tasty, tempting xmas stock is on show! Keeping a food diary and a daily weigh in is a good way to keep you on track. Well done for reaching your target!

Andy, that’s great! For many of us it’s a real challenge to keep that weight off as we get older

Upcoming busy day today starting with my regular infusion. Although it’s time consuming, I am grateful that these newer meds are available!

Have a good day, Overs.

Well done Andy! After reaching your desired weight, how do you maintain it? I’ve lost a good amount of weight once but slowly I put it back on.

Oh I just saw your comment toots. Keeping a food diary...good idea.

Sassy, all the best with your infusion today.

Good morning all,

I had a good day yesterday: dragged my Dad over to my brother's house where 14yo nephew was hanging out on his own (they do hybrid school). I got to dig in the garden, feed the ducks bindweed and we ate lunch on the patio.

Today's goal: finish up my ballot and help my dad with his, do some yoga on our newly cleaned carpet, rethread the sewing machine and fold laundry.

Carry on all.

bekind - sigh of relief with you that you were able to close out the issue unscathed.

we are enjoying AZ!!! the weather cooled down to a high of 100 here for the first time since April, so we timed it right. It’s nice to get a bit of ‘summer’ since ours was smoked out.

baby K is being spoiled (in a good way) by her grandparents - they are very excited to see her and worked hard to make sure that she would have age appropriate things to play with. She has been falling asleep hard and long after so much play.

We got our first look of the Bay Area burn areas as our flight took off - it took my breath away how much is gone. Even knowing the numbers it is still shocking.

Not sure I would recommend flying in the US right now though. Our neighborhood is quite pro mask, highly educated (lots of PhDs), and international. I haven’t seen anyone incorrectly wear a mask until I got to the airport and I was shocked at the behaviors being practiced. My 2 year old is far far far better at wearing her mask than 50% of the people on the plane. I think not wearing a mask is more contagious than COVID :/ We won’t be taking another flight trip.

I am thrilled for Baby K and you that it is a lovely break dear. s xxxxxx

But YEAH, seriously, what is wrong with people?
My stress over the maskless minions as our numbers soar is big. Sigh.

Morning Overs

SE, I’m glad you’re enjoying your stay and it sounds like they’re loving having their granddaughter around too. I’ve noticed the mask wearing here (usually on tv interviews) and so many wear their masks incorrectly.

Suze, I know it’s difficult, but try not to worry about others and their masks love. It’s annoying and seems reckless, but it’s their consequences. And some are exempt from wearing them due to health conditions. We can’t protect everyone sadly. Keep wearing yours and follow all the rules, that’s what I do if I have to go out.

It’s getting worse round here too. My friend who works in admin at the hospital says the numbers are climbing daily of people in ICU with Covid-19.

On a lighter note it’s raining again though yesterday turned out bright and sunny.

Take care and Be safe. Have a good Wednesday my friends. xxxx

Good morning Overs.
Mags, at the moment I have my nibbling under control, ...
Breaking news, DD has been told she may have been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID. We knew she would likely get it.

Have a good day everyone.

Hope she comes though unscathed if she is infected Andy. Students up here are treating it as a big joke, but thankfully most seem unaffected. The number of older people infected are on the rise again as are those being hospitalised and in icu. It will be a worrying winter for many.
