Gratitude - it’s a very inexpensive way to improve our lives in so many ways. Practicing gratitude has changed my life so much!. Instead of being unhappy and having “poor me” feelings, it’s so much easier now to accept down spells and they are lighter and much, much shorter because of that. I am especially grateful to live in a very comfortable and safe place and to have enough assets to hopefully last as long as I do. It helps to actively think about gratitude periodically.

Have a mindful Monday, Overs

As I said in the video, some of the happiest people I know practice gratitude daily. It really is the gift that keeps on giving!

Have a Marvelous Monday, overs!

I'm having a good morning here on the edge of the Rocky Mountains.

Taking a hack at my finances, cleaning house, pushing water and medications on my Dad.

Dad is so much like a toddler. I can get irritated with him which isn't necessarily fair. Just now he wanted me to tell him what shoes he should wear when it is icy outside (I suggested he look in his closet and decide himself). He also wanted to know why he felt cold sitting next to the window (It is 10 degrees outside and there is a draft) . . . . . none of this is a big deal it is just life with someone who doesn't think for themselves very well.

Right now he is sitting by the window watching a large car transporter load a car for transport and critiquing the driver . . . it is kind of funny. I do enjoy him watching a truck in the same way I enjoyed my nephews' fascination with garbage trucks.

So off to call my sister, do a bit more yoga and open up a signatory page for an investment.

Wear a mask and be kind to yourselves everyone.

Congrats on 6 years Suze.

My mum is feeling better and as things stand I will delay my visit. She has an appointment next week to see a specialist to hopefully get to the bottom of some of her health issues. She is very frustrated having gone from a golfing, active 82 year old, to clinging to the walls of her house and worried she will fall if she goes out! She can't wait to get better and get her life back and is concerned if it lasts too long, she won't.

Good morning Overs.
Congratulations Suze.
Sending best wishes for your Mum, Toots.
Last week my tumble dryer broke it's belt. This week the washer is feeling left out and won't pump out.
Never mind, there's always coffee.

Have a good day everyone.

Toots, it’s so frustrating when you get older and an illness sets you back. Would your mum use a stick/walker for support until she sees the specialist?

Andy, sounds like your appliances are in cahoots.

Toots, I hope your mum feels better!

Bekind, you have a calm, understanding and accepting attitude toward your dad. He is very fortunate to have you

Andy, sounds like appliance collusion to me

Hi Mags, Suze, FBL, SG, PJ and all the Overs. Have a good day!

I woke early today which might make for a long day. It is a bright cold day; we are back to a view of cold white and pastel landscape outside the windows

So far I've: backed up my computer, read over some memoirs of my Grandmother, and the usual laundry, dishes, and floors, so I am off and going for another day.

I'm sort of gearing myself up for a long winter . . . .I think I will find books about rough times and long winters to help me keep things in perspective.

Off to do some yoga, put some books away and check to see if my computer finished backing up.

Hey Overs!
Sorry can't catch up with all the posts since the 18th. Without being political at all, I've been busy phone banking for one of the parties daily for the past month. If you must know, pm me, email me, and a few have my phone. But don't talk politics here at all please. I'm just saying the reason I've been, and will be, absent for another week, is that I'm doing some volunteer work.

It seems on my other website I post in they were posting that they were worried and thought I was near or in the fires. Bekind is closer to them than I am, except for the large fire on Ft. Carson just South of me. I'm just doing a drive by to let everyone know we are fine with snow on the ground.

Congrats Suze, and any I missed on previous pages.

The virus is growing here again exponentially. So we are hunkered down. We do have a contractor here tomorrow and another to build a new shed slightly bigger than the plastic shed here now. The altitude here makes for problems with deterioration from UV radiation.

Anyway we're fine and going axeholes and elbows here.

Good Morning Overs

Itchy, good to see you. I was thinking we hadn’t seen you for a bit but I kinda guessed (and hoped you was ok) you were busy. Did big doggie get flown over to your family in Germany yet? (I love happy endings)

Bekind, sounds like you’ve a good day planned.

Andy, Mmmmm your house must permeate delicious.

Have a wonderful Wednesday my friends, keep safe. xxxx

Good morning all . . . . I am closer to the fires than Itchy; however "closer" still means not close at all. We have still had terrible smoke . Today is one of the clearest in a long time. Unfortunately, reports from the fires are saying even a foot of snow will not put them out - weird.

Today will be a busy day (not that any day is very busy around here): I have Spanish tutoring at 11:00, we get groceries at 1230 and a zoom meeting with a financial advisor in the PM . . . . .so off to text my siblings, sort through some magazines and mop the bathroom floor . . . . yep . . . .I'm living la vida loca with all its glamour and drama (-;

Good Morning Overs

Bekind, I hope the smoke doesn’t get any worse and soon clears. I wonder, is rain more effective on the fires than snow. Snow just may blanket it and not smother it

Andy, have you eaten all your bread you baked? I’m guessing yes.

I can’t believe my cats woke me up at crazy o’clock and now they’re sprawled out, cosy and warm.
Hubby was saying yesterday that he’s noticed cats have no conscience.
I begged to differ but he went on, he’s lived with many cats over the years, being married to me and never seen once that they’re sorry. Whereas dogs are apologetic for doing anything wrong but cats will do it anyway, with no apology. Thinking about it, it’s true I guess.

Have a good Thursday my friends, be safe. xxxx
