Good morning Overs.
It seems that as soon as COVID is carried into a group it spreads like wild fire, stay safe Sassy.

Good to see everyone Have an overwhelming amount of reading/studying to do, when I'd rather drink coffee and go look at plants.....maybe I'll do both....

Purps, gorgeous lion!

Hi PJ :-)

Yes, covidiots is the right word. I haven’t figured out if they are clueless or simply don’t care. Either way it’s outrageous - especially in a place like this where we range in age from 62 to 100+. I had started emerging from my cocoon a bit recently but am right back in now. I know some others who have had similar experiences and now stay in their apartments and go out walking.

Ah well, enough time and energy wasted on that group! I am making lots of progress on learning stuff about embroidery and quilting and hope I get my new machine soon :-)

Have a lovely day and stay safe.

Me and Ev did another video yesterday, this one discussing the importance of setting healthy boundaries in life.

Setting Healthy Boundaries

Have a Wonderful Weekend, overs!

Rolling into Saturday here in the US Rockies.

Sassy, my Mom had a Husquavarna that I still use. Mom got really into machine embroidery. When she got Alzheimers, she couldn't tell me how to use it anymore; however she had muscle memory so I could sit her in front of the machine and she could use it. I have been using it to make costumes for friends during the lockdown . . .lots of fun.

I'm making another Cherry Clafoutis today. It makes such a lovely breakfast.

So I'm off to read a bit more of my Spanish book, pay a credit card and write about parking in the lease . . . walk in beauty all!

Good Morning Overs

Sassy, yes, please stay safe. I like the sound of a cocoon.

FBL, thanks for the link. I’ll watch later, I really enjoyed the last one you did.

Purps I love the saying with the lion. Very apt.

Toots, hope you enjoyed your fish supper

Bekind, your costume making sounds fun., and your cherry clafoutis sounds delicious too.

I’m going to make some mine pies and jam tarts. I just prefer them to bought ones. Plus there’s no risk of alcohol being in them when I make my own. Haven’t baked for a very long time, should be interesting. I checked to see if I still had my tart tins but have no pastry cutters and rolling pin. Unless they’re boxed up in the attic.

Have a lovely Sunday my friends. Stay safe. xxxx

Good morning Overs.
Bekind, to me Husquavarna = chainsaw. I was wondering what your Mom needed a chainsaw for.
Mags, are your mine pies a way of giving naughty folk coal?
I should have known today was going to be fun, I woke up thinking it was Monday, but it's only Sunday.

Have a good Sunday everyone.

Andy, they may just turn out that way!
I used to love those moments when I woke up thinking it was a work day and it was the weekend.

Mags, curious as to what a mine pie is?

Andy, I had to laugh at your Husquavarna comment. Husky is known for chain saws here. I had no idea they made sewing machines. Must be quite the machine.

Have a good day all!

Haha. Star, Mince pies are made with fruit you can buy mincemeat in jars or make your own. Traditional for Christmas in England. Dee, mine could probably be explosive

Ah yes, I loved those, too!

I’d love to give exploding mine pies to a few people

Bekind, that’s interesting that your mom could still sew. Those older sewing machines often are/were real workhorses. I would call the one I’m getting “a computer designed to sew” rather than a computerized sewing machine.

Have a good day to all
