Class of April 2020 Part Two
Re: Class of April 2020 Part Two
I hope you have a great Saturday, Soda. It's still Friday night here. I've always loved sober Saturdays. Waking up without a hangover and the whole day ahead makes me feel so grateful.

Thanks ppl.
Its the hardest day of the week for me. I live solo and I work from home. Late Saturday afternoon it usually kicks in. The negotiations start around just drinking on the weekends. You'd know the discussion I'm sure. I had a few days earlier this month, Saturday arrives, got the slow cooked curry on and went out for the evening hours' walking. Half way round and I could taste the red wine, cold autumn evening, winter coming. Two thirds of the way around and realised it was pointless just buying a bottle as I'd just drink it and need to go out for another. So it had to be a small cask. 2 litres.
Once home.....sort of lost interest in the curry, they're better left overnight anyway, right?. Sat up watching netflix into the small hours and did I really drink that much of it?
The end of April's first run at sobriety. But did last Sat....so will have to repeat the trick.
Have a good day everyone.....a strange day in this country, as a national soldiers memorial day. But without the usual marches, ceremonies and commemorations that have never been suspended before. On we go.....

Soda / I know that feeling all too well! Even though I'd only average 375ml of drink a day my AV would argue of course I needed to always have 750ml on hand!?!? It sounded like this, "No no!!! Dig get the bigger bottle. What if you want just one more drink after the 375ml is gone?!? Don't be stupid. Put the small one down."
Horrible feeling every single time I gave in and yet I still did it.
I'm so glad I came back to SR this time and stayed here and tried this April 2020 group out. It is helping a great deal and is just one part of my team, one tool in the toolbox, etc.
Just about a month ago now I thought this would never be possible. We all have so much to fight for and to protect against once we get up and running with this!!!
Take care. Goodnight from Canada, eh!!!

Hello everyone. I hope you're all doing well, staying sober and enjoying the peace and quiet. Yesterday was easier for me, I had a few tough days before that. Hugs and lots of love to all of you.

I think just a bit of frustration with the site stuff, perhaps, but it is getting better Or maybe because it is finally a nice day, at least it is here. s

Looks like a very nice day around the globe!!! I just came in from some outdoor spring cleaning/setting up the deck and backyard. And my first though was, sit down with a green tea and check in at SR.
Hoping everyone has the chance to check-in / I think we could go back to JT's roll-call list (or did someone else have one on the go???) and see where everyone is at

Hey Strawberry! I switched to CarbonNew (at the bottom left of the page is a very discreet drop-down box - took me some time to find it actually).
But I think that might help?
Hope you're doing well, keeping safe and enjoying the weekend.
