Morning FF, I am just fine thank you, apart from being awake half the night. I blame the full moon, I've been sleeping really well up to now...

Seeing my therapist this morning, then trying to do something creative with my son. I've printed some escape rooms stuff to do with him, let's see how that goes. I played fortnite with him yesterday, that gave him a good laugh

In therapy, and also in Smart, I am really interested in how I see things. That's obviously a big topic!, but specifically how I frame problems and difficulties. It's quite scary as it throws up for grabs all I've taken for granted in my life. But then my life wasn't going so well so why not be brave?

Well done freedom that is great !! Im excited to reach a month too.

Hi Be i struggled to sleep last night too, ended up getting up watching tv and having midnight snacks, annoyed at that as trying hard to lose weight. Never mind today is a new day. I had hoped i'd of lost more weight by now but guess it takes time.

Hope everyone else is well too

My experience with weight and drinking...and I am well aware we are all different - is that weight doesn't come off at first. All focus HAS to be on not drinking and if that means eating a ton of chocolate or ice cream then so be it. But over time (serious time) it comes off naturally. I reckon all of us addicts want quick fixes to everything, I know I do. AM I CURED YET?! 😂

Yeah your right Be i need to give it time, and learn patience. In the grand scheme of things losing weight is pretty unimportant really anyway. Just vanity.

My BMI is 27.4 so it's important to lose weight for health reasons

food is another addiction I have that I'm trying to deal with

I was pretty good yesterday then binged at bedtime. This is a habit I'm trying to kick

FF 27.4 is a little over but not appalling. I know we all have different ways of thinking but seriously, when you are sober this time next year, 13 months of not drinking, your energy levels, routines etc will
mean you are almost GUARANTEED to be fitter and healthier. It's just time, time , time, sober sober sober. That's why you winning the daily battles is so impressive , you're actually walking the talk

Night time binging is my downfall too, but i guess we beating one addiction at a time, and on a whole my eating is better than when i was drinking. I think (hope) once we get past a month our bodies might be more healed and weight loss might happen easier.

FF, if I contemplated doing that here in Texas I might get shot, lol. This is just your brain playing what if scenarios. Go back a re-read the list on why you quit drinking when you get these thoughts.

I feel so much less stress now than when I was hiding my drinking and counting hours. Plus, now I can eat pretty much whatever I want without the digestion problems I had.

Well I wouldn't get shot but I'd certainly get a conviction which would mean no
career. Imagine ruining your life for a drink. The AV really is a dumb thing

I have shoplifted booze years ago but fortunately was never charged though I was caught more than once

Evening all, I took my evening exercise walking up the hill. Hopefully this will work, not the best photo but you get the idea of how beautiful it was!

Looking forward to bed: six weeks tomorrow

Night all
