Mags, those cookies are going to turn me into the Cookie Monster!

Toots, I can see you thundering down the roads. Should we send out a warning to all those on your route?

Hi Mags, I have been missing the camel, too

Hi Andy. How go those widows/widowers coffees? Are you finding them helpful?

Itchy, I agree with the others about flowers, coffee aromas. Also, a pie baking in the oven is also recommended. When you get to Colorado you can take over the cooking

Have a good day to all!

Thanks, guys. Now I'm hungry for cookies!

Been SUPER busy lately, even for me! Have my next eye appointment tomorrow morning. They are going to dilate me, so probably won't be able to work for a few hours.

Have a Happy Hump Day, overs!

Mags,
We'll survive. It was 98° F (36.67°C) here today with almost 50% humidity! I'd take your cold weather any day. Tomorrow it will be hotter and I have to work all day in it cutting grass. If anyone wants to see pics, message me and I'll send the link that has pics.

Andy,(tips hat and a cow)

Toots,
Beautiful ride! I believe it is 4 wheel drive? They don't sell that model in the US - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_X-Trail I gotcha now. Hey we're both doing AWD! And you got the work done!

Hey Dee! Thanks. Soon I hope.

PJ,
The cookies were a bit underdone last time. This time I'm dropping 50° temp to 300 and watch for golden brown. Then they will crunch.

Sassy,
How is Sassy cat? You? Hey, I have one oven so only cookies. Although I do love a good strawberry Rhubarb or Dutch Apple pie. I'll pick one up to go in after the cookies.

Paul,
Hope all goes well with the eye doc. Keeping busy is a good thing. I have had too much of a good thing too!

Sold my gatling gun today. The dual 50 round magazines exceed the legal limit in Colorado where only 15 round magazines and under are allowed. It was really a toy. Made from dual Ruger 10-22 rifles firing .22 lr ammo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv0mIWda_88
See, range toy for expensive fun.
Gone!

FBL, will they be doing cataract surgery on your other eye? Mine were both bad, and the surgeries were done a month apart.

I still can't get over how much better my vision is with the artificial lenses in.

I am in awe of medical science nowadays.

Today is my birthday. I spent it sober and free of drama. Didn't do anything special but finally got my license renewed. Was there twice yesterday, had the right proof today.

Hugs to all the Overs.

Good morning Overs.

Sassy, the widows/widowers group is good, it is very supportive, they understand. We have coffee and then move on down the mall to a Tapas place for lunch.

Happy birthday Least.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning Overs

Andy, it’s good to get together with people who understand.

Toots, it’s a great vehicle and I love the colour.

Itchy, I’m with you there, I’d rather have colder weather than humidity. I’ve just become one of those English people that talk about the weather, wherever I go someone mentions the weather over here. We’re so English!

I just saw these on the smiley list. they’re kindness it says.

I have a doctors appointment shortly, my blood tests results were abnormal. I think it may be cholesterol. We have family history of it and I’m on meds for it too.

Have a good Thursday my friends xx

Thanks Dee.

Went to docs and he couldn’t see any abnormalities in my blood results. Though the cholesterol marks under my eyes have got worse so he recommended that I go on a higher dose of statins. Otherwise all ok!

Glad to hear, Mags!

Happy B-day, Least. The doc says my other eye is good for now (I have 20/20 vision in it with the glasses), so hopefully I won't have to deal with it for many years to come (knock wood). The gas bubble they placed in my other eye is what caused the cataract to worsen my vision. Nearly everyone who has the retina procedure has to have cataract surgery afterwards. I'm "only" 53, so I'm still fairly young for all of this stuff in the first place!

Itch, thanks for checking in. Hope you get that house sold soon!

Dee, hope any future falls are few and far between!

Have a Thunderous Thursday, overs!

FBL, that’s good news on your eyes.

Belated birthday wishes least. More cake?

Ooh, Mags, that cake looks awesome! Hope the statins do the job.

Happy birthday, Least

Itchy, while you were gone, Sassy kitty crossed the rainbow bridge. On top of her other health problems, she had what looked to me like a stroke so I had the mobile vet come to my home. I miss her a lot but know it was what was best for her.

Andy, that group sounds good!

FBL, I’m sure you will be happy to have the eye saga be over with and done!

Have a good Thursday to all the Overs

Well, the eye saga continues. Now I have some swelling in the back of my eye. Doctor says it's uncommon, but does occur occasionally. Apparently the eye didn't care for 2 surgeries so close together. So, it's 3 more weeks of intense drops, then back to the retina specialist for a check-up. If the swelling has subsided, then I can be fitted for new glasses. If not, then there are other options to explore.

Good morning Overs.

I went on the scales this morning and was pleased to see I have lost a small amount of weight. I'm not overly interested in how much, I like the slow drift down.

Have a peaceful day everyone.
