One Year & Over Part 69
Afternoon Overs
Sass, sorry about your friend in Boston. I’m glad you were able to visit her
Very windy here today. Since the sun the last few days our tomatoes have ripened and we’ve got a glut of them. Taking some to in-laws tomorrow. Anyone for tomatoes.
Have a good Friday my friends. A long Labour Day weekend for you in USA.

Morning Overs
Andy, can’t beat the start of a day with a nice cuppa.
Off to in-laws soon then home. It looks like it’s going to be a sunny day but not too hot, a good day for pottering.
Have a good Saturday my friends. xx

Suze, with this particular disease there are no last minute reprieves. All one’s muscles keep on getting weaker (atrophy) and the base of the brain atrophies until it can’t keep going anymore. Time from disease onset to death seems to typically be about 10 to 15 years of steady deterioration. I think it’s a very cruel disease because one can see what is coming and be helpless to stop it. My friend can’t hold her head upright anymore without aids. Speech, swallowing, etc all become difficult. My friend is managing to stay positive throughout though I don’t know how she does it.

Morning Overs
I’m visiting my cousin today, I’m taking a tin of biscuits and cake and also some tomatoes from our greenhouse.
They’re in abundance with the sun we’ve had in the last few weeks. Though the weather seems pretty cooler now. Soon be autumn if it isn’t already.
One thing I don’t like about autumn, all the leaves dropping everywhere. we’ve got so many trees all round us the cleaning up seems to go on forever.
I hope all the Overs are keeping well and I don’t think there are any of us in Dorian’s path but wishing everyone safe from the storm if so .
Have a good Monday my friends xxxx

Mags, I certainly won't miss that great long drive of ours that would fill with leaves, I had to try and keep it clear while we were selling and it was a nightmare! I chopped down one tree here as soon as we moved in, we have a plum and an apple tree, both groaning with fruit at the moment, that will shed, it I can forgive them!
Sass your friend sounds like my mums neighbour who recently passed. She suffered terribly but never complained and was always the first to offer aid to another.
I'm another who cannot do anything first thing without coffee in hand!
