So jelly of JimiC at MSG tonight.
I don't have any shows set for right now, that's the first time in a year that I don't have a show on the horizon. I saw more shows this spring and summer than I've seen in ages. Superchunk three times, Foo Fighters, Mudhoney last week, Primus in July and Dave Matthews on Labor Day weekend. Am I forgetting any? So that averages to about a show every month. Not too bad.
We're going to Disneyland again on November 7 for a week. I am going to run a short run at Huntington Beach on Nov. 10. Should be fun.

That's a lot of awesome shows OOTT. I had a great sober time at The Eagles last night. They gave homage to the late Glenn Frey and his son Deacon sang his songs perfectly. The band showed gratitude to their fans and were able to make the concert feel very intimate. Joe Walsh is the man and can still shred that guitar.
Aly, CYH, IWTA- I'm real proud of you and it's wonderful to see you all staying strong and sober (I think I forgot at least one classmate who doesn't post too often)
I was listening to Soundgarden yesterday at work and Fell on Black Days came on (early demo virgin) which is one of my favorites.

I'm doing ok, but I know where I'm headed if I let alcohol creep further and further back into my life. I last drank on Sunday while we were away in New Hampshire. During the four hour drive home on Monday I was thinking about drinking in general and whether or not I should drink again that day. Even thought about taking an extra day off from work (AV). The phrase "the obsession lifted" came to my mind and I believe it's something I've read on here from AA. So yeah, I've had a few good times recently while drinking but it's not worth it. The alcoholic mind will always be there and abstinence is a no-brainier. Well I just wanted to get that off my chest, peace and love!

-so glad to see you back and so reflective. Great lyrics, thanks for sharing. I think we've all felt that way at times. I hope you find your way back and you feel good about where you are.
The Eagles are so good in concert. I'm glad they didn't disappoint. I've always loved Joe Walsh since I was a kid.

Leaving for Oregon for 10k race tomorrow and some bicycling. I feel weird today, I don't know why. I had a bad headache on Thursday and some stress about projects that are overdue. I'm a little upset about my eating, which has been bad. I'm off track on that.

Have a great sober Saturday. I'm watching Vanderbilt play Florida. My dad played football at Vanderbilt, so I try to watch them. I went to FSU, so I watch them too. My nephews play, but they are so banged up.

Wow! to my surprise first snow today here...mild but looks beautiful on the fall leaves. Woke up to a beautiful sight...

...I do it because I earn each day by putting my mind and heart. Then I reward it to myself to stay on track

Hi I'm back. Missed you all. Formally known as sunshine. I've joined October class but you all are my tribe. Missed you all. Aly hope surgery was successful. I'll catch up eventually with what all has happened on the forum.
