Good morning class

Hi Kimmy
It is really cool you have kept the sessions up with your therapist.

I think about half way through last year, many of us in our 2017 Jan class identified complacency as one of the biggest risks to our sobriety. It is easy, at times now, to feel we are over the worst. In my case, that feeds right into my AV

SR, and sticking to my sobriety routine, is my only tool to stay on track, although in hindsight a therapist would have helped at certain points, especially as I was reflecting "why" I drank.

I think it is great that you have kept up and you are so valued here. Thanks for posting

Have a healthy, happy and sober day.

Hi Class!

Sorry I haven't been around, I was asked to understudy a play so it has been suddenly and unexpectedly busy. I most likely won't go on, but they needed backup for someone who has had illness in their family and may be called away last minute. They are pretty sure that won't happen now. But I still get paid which is nice and works out all around lol!

Good to hear that you have been having an overall positive week, DLB, and that things have been getting DONE! It must be nice ticking off things on the list.

Kimmy, good for you for keeping up with your therapist. I think its so important, because I know AV can really sneak up. I do sometimes wish I had gone in with a therapist as well.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy, fun, sober weekend!

Just a note, to check in with my friends here. Not much going on here, but wanted to show my face and say how continually happy and impressed I am by everyone's progress on this thread!

Good morning class
Super bleary eyed but I am up early and determined to try to have a fun, productive Saturday. My work week ended a bit frustratingly so making amends today.

Nacn, I totally understand how it goes as far as schedules. Glad you are well. My whole30 ends next week and it went well. I learnt a lot and feel better. Thank you again for turning me on to it. I will continue with some aspects of it, like you have done.

MrM, great that you posted. Thank you for your kind words. You are a big part of our sobriety group, and have contributed as much, as any of us, so post anytime . We all started together.
It has been nice to see a few other of our old Januarian friends pop up again in other SR threads.

Have a healthy, productive, sober and fun Saturday all.

I'm doing well enough, Dee. Not too much to complain about right now anyway.

I had some problems about a month ago, but I back at it and a month sober again. It's amazing that this doesn't seem that impressive to me: I'm slowly getting used to not drinking. It's taken over a year, but for long stretches now don't think about it that much and it is easy to stay stopped. It isn't a day-to-day battle at the moment, which is really amazing given that it was for years.

My problem isn't complacency or a sense of "one will be fine." I really only want to drink when I'm under stress and have a meltdown. I need to learn some coping strategies! Working on it though: I have a therapist now, who is an addictions specialist, which is something I should have done many, many years ago.

Other than that, medications are working fine. Life is generally a lot calmer!

Good morning classmates.

Hi GTB (MrM).
Congrats on a month.
I think our triggers are very similar, so I can empathise. The therapist idea seems a *really* good one. Now you can recognise what situations can trigger a relapse.
It is also important to add up how many sober days you have had, over the last 14 months, and see how impressive that is, compared to previous years. It is a major improvement I am sure. Something to build from
Great to have you posting regularly again.

For my part, yesterday was NOT the grand return to being productive that i had hoped. I have no idea why the day just drifted off. I did have a bike ride, so that is something. Today will hopefully be better as I get my head ready for my work week.

Have a healthy, happy and sober Sunday all.

A super nice bike ride this morning. Spring seems to be coming, in my part of the world.
Hope everyone has a happy, healthy and sober day.

Hi Class!

Quick check in. Another busy week.

I have gone on a crazy sugar binge since completing the whole30 so I am going to start again on March 1!!

About to head to bed. Have a great night everyone.

Good morning classmates
A very early and sleepy Thursday but it has been a happy week. In a big big push to end it well.

I completed my whole30 yesterday. I have yet to weigh/measure myself but I have gotten compliments about my appearance and feel better/lighter. It wasn't always easy. Finding a modified version to stick to in definitely the plan. Thanks again, Nacn for suggesting it.

This morning I hope to to do some self-study and exercise before work.

Have a healthy, sober and super happy day all.

hi all
Barely awake. I slept poorly, with crazy dreams, but up in time to make a crack at Monday. There is still time to get some kind of semblance of a plan for my day.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend.
Have a healthy, happy and sober day all.
