Thanks Dee.
Mine is kind of like George Clooney in the Perfect storm.
But much sexier.
They say we fail to pronounce the"R" in words.
It's odd cause when I travel to other states they can tell right away where I'm from.lol

Pj,
Rooting for you bud! And your friends!

I'm a man with no country. Down here I'm called a Yankee with that accent. Up there folks say I have a Southern accent. Kathy was shocked and said I had a thick southern drawl. I was born in LI, NY, and lived in Stamford Connecticut from age 7-18.
No one looks, or sounds in RW as we expect I guess.

Love your art PJ! You have evolved which is reflected in your paintings, as they have evolved to be quite good.

Thanks for the new thread Dee

Lol Bob :-)

G’day Itchyyyy, how lovely to see you .

I don’t like hearing my own voice back , in always think I sound different to how I sound on voicemails etc.

You’ve got a sexy husky voice Suze ... i’d Expect nothing less from a fellow Aussie.

Lulu , I’m absolutley gobsmacked at your weight loss. You go girl. It makes me feel so motivated to keep going .

Mags and Croutie Leigh and Kathy, hope you are doing well girls

Crois I hope your weekend away was magic xxx

Hope you all had a great weekend. The oval around the corner just finished hosting our annual Christmas carols and fireworks.

We took the dogs out for a walk to tire them out a little as the fireworks totally stresses them out.

Well it worked Miss Piggy didn’t stress and Lewis is as deaf as a post.

Every man and his dog has their Christmas lights going and as you walk back into our Court there’s a big black spot at the end and it’s our house

Oh well , next year.

Love you all xx

Gday Bob, it’s late here and I’m checking SR in bed lol

I can hear the drunken neighbours outside , glad I’m in the sanctuary of my own home.

One of them came up to me as I was walking to my house with a red wine in her hand. The smell of it made me want to puke as that’s what sent me into hospital and made me quit.

Not the least bit interested to be out there. She said don’t rush off, have a drink Wendy , I said sorry I can’t I’m on medication , but thank you . I have to get the dogs inside because of the fireworks coming

It wasn’t hard at all ....empowered

Hi all, Snooz, you sound good.

Had an interesting day. Went to a toy drive to support a police officer friend of my daughter. The toys went to the All Our Children Advocacy Center which provides gifts to children who have experienced trauma through some sort of criminal act or as the result of domestic abuse. Always nice to meet my daughter's friends and I hit it off with one in particular. She was hysterical. When we were leaving my daughter told me she nearly lost her job due to her drinking and is newly sober. According to my daughter she is lucky to have a job and such a great work support system. Hoping I see her again and we can broach that subject somehow. Would be nice to talk to a young person and, hopefully, help convince her it is never worth it.

Lulu, it’s lovely that your daughters friend has the support she has.

Talking of our accents, I haven’t got the ‘queen’s English accent’ more like Eliza Doolittle!

Have a good day my friends

Lulu , what a great influence you could be for this young woman. I really hope you reconnect with her.

Mags, I can just imagine how you speak now lol, so adorable.

I love the fact that a lot of us know what each other looks like now.

None of you looked how I imagined you would in my head. So I suppose the same goes with voices lol. Although Suze sounded just like I had known her forever when we first spoke years ago.

I still remember that call. We were in the post office and I was about to send you a gift.

I love this class

Oh my gosh....did I ever confess to you what happened to that bear?

I loved it....(stuffed bear, I think it was a bear...) but it had a strong perfume smell....very nice perfume mind, but I was allergic to it. I couldn't air it out....I was so sad....so....uh oh.....here it comes....I gave it to my sister's dog....and it became her favourite toy EVER.

Once, I even accidentally posted a picture here of Taya with the bear in her mouth....and I thought OH NO....Wendy will see what happened to the gorgeous present.

The other part of the gift....'a home is not a home without a cat' sign I adored, and still have a photo of it on my bookshelf.

I thought PJ sounded like a New Zealander at first, Wendy too.....but it is just that the Adelaide accent is SO different than the rest of Australia. Melbourne and Sydney are close, Queensland is the REAL Australian accent, and don't get me started about Perth. For a while there, it was all like valley girl ish there....no clue why.

Taya is on the left...she was probably thinking: "gosh I am sad that my bear is all chewed up now...."

Suze, I don’t mind at all . You know what I’m like with my animals. If your sisters dog got enjoyment out of it, it’s a win, win
