Just throwing this out there....I have a fellow rocker-chick-concert-buddy who lives in Texas. GnR have two dates in Texas next September, so I told my friend I might fly there to go to one of the shows with her if I don't make it to the one in Miami.....Casey don't make us hunt you down!!!!

Trying to catch up. I have been sick with a migraine for 4 days. Yep you read that right. And working every day with a migraine. Working as a nurse, no less. I honestly clocked out of work the other night and walked straight down the hall and checked myself in to the ER.
I don't know if it's the change in weather but my usual remedies and prevention strategies have done nothing for the pain. I am already under the care of a neurologist who thankfully finally prescribed some good old fashioned painkiller for the pain.
So needless to say, I haven't done any reading of any sort in the last few days.
And wouldn't you know it, I woke up this morning and my migraine seems to have abated but now I have the CRUD!
I am still sober. I think today is day 74.

Hi gang, am I too late to join the party?
I took my last drink on March 29th. On April 4, I entered a 30-day inpatient rehab program, then a 2-week "partial hospitalization program" (6 hours/day for 2 weeks), then 8 weeks of IOP. Thankfully, my employer was very understanding/generous as I continued to get paid, and I was able to come back to work immediately afterward. Don't know if I would have been able to do it otherwise. Thankfully, I've been able to stay sober since then. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I did program-mandatory AA meetings, and while I enjoyed them, I ultimately decided that getting a sponsor and working the steps wasn't for me, though I realize it has helped many folks, and I have nothing against it...just not for me. I've also been on SR for a while and it has been a valuable tool in my recovery. Anyway, just wanted to say hello and wish everyone good luck and strength to those who are struggling.

Some needs to put out an Austin APB at this point.
Had a light dusting of snow here recently but hoping this year’s just a few one foot incidents and not a replay of a few years back. Rock on with your snow enjoyment, Sam.

Sorry about the migraines, Jemma. Mine are very sporadic, I think. Sometimes I can’t tell if they’re low level ones or just sinus pressure. But when they’re what you’re having I most definitely know. Those tend to last several days and are excruciating. I hope the migraines stay away and the crud is gone quickly. Awesome job on 74.

Hello COMmoners. A lovely summer day here. Sulphur Cockies rustling up a din. They like freshly cut grass. I have been noticing this morning how a person's behaviour- even the little things, can really be an indicator of their state of well being. Today for me is attacking study. Do a bit, break- paint a bit. Wash..repeat.

Hey DesertDawg! Your experience sounds like mine. I quit march 7 and did a month in rehab. I said no to anything else tho, I just wanted to get back to normal as fast as I could. They really, really pushed the IOP on me as I was leaving. Never attended AA either. The prayers and holding hands part weirds me out. Anyways, welcome aboard!
