Hi Jemma! Good to see you!

WOW, Lillian.....how friggin' scary is that!!! Glad you are okay!

Sam that is so cool - love the pic!

Crap there were a bunch of other replies I had.....there goes my A.D.D. again!

Still reading Under the Influence and it's actually gotten pretty good! Smashed sounds like it's a good one too....I'll have to pick that one up next.

There was this creepy movie on earlier and now I hope I don't have nightmares....maybe I'll pull up an episode of MST3K before falling asleep! lol

Glad to see you all! Thanks everyone for being here

Hey, purple! Hi, Jemma!

None of us does this alone. Ask for help, Jemma, it does get easier, I promise.

Home and relaxing after a long day. I'm still going to PT three times a week (except for when I had that stretch of being out of town). So now that I'm working FT again, I have three very long days during the week. I was told tonight that I looked amazing and happy compared to the two previous weeks I was there when I was drinking, working, PT'ing, and just plain exhausted and ornery.

I did have brief urges last night and tonight, but I won't drink. No way. No how. I had broken sleep last night with weird dreams, but still had more energy today than I did when I slept a full night on booze.

Today was the first day of 4th grade for DD. She's been struggling with a lot of anxiety with me going back to work, then leaving town, and her starting school all within a short period. Transitions like that are hard for her. I'm hoping she settles in and can relax a bit now that school started. She has the teacher she wanted and has some friends in class with her. I worry about just how bad her anxiety gets at only 9. It's definitely something I'm keeping my eye on. It first cropped up when she was just 6

Jemma, welcome back!!

I was listening to a podcast today where the guy being interviewed, who has quite a few years of sobriety, said that the foundation of his recovery was learning to ask for help. This group is way better than any drink - come to us first (a suggestion that I need to follow myself!!)

Welcome back Jemma. I just finished day 2 today too. We'll do this together. Each day is going to be better.

Wonderful to see you, Jemma. Don't be a stranger--you, me, all of us, we're stronger together.

Sweaty night at work. I had two huge tables going at the same time and it was raining so it was extra humid and I think I lost ten pounds. But everything went OK and now I'm off for the next two days. Time to do some dragon killing. Thanks to all of you for helping me stay sober one more day.

Today we are planning on dropping off toy (etc) donations to the local children's hospital - we asked for that in lieu of toys for my daughters 1st bday since we have so many from first two kiddo's. I think that will be a great experience for all three.

Then, off to my moms pool - it's a 90+ degree day!

Good morning class! Day 5. I slept MUCH better last night. I found an OTC sleep aid that is a bit more mild than others for me, though I do still wake up a bit groggy. Better than hungover, that's for sure! And I've added a magnesium supplement to help counter act the restless leg stuff that OTC sleep products tend to trigger. So far so good. Knock on wood!

I'm still floored at how much I am relating to Smashed. It's spooky.
