Or maybe a dark poem. I wrote this one today
There's a scary place
In my mind
Where the dark thoughts hide

Day 146! New personal record! If months were 30 or 31 days long (or 28 or 29 in one strange case), I'd be 4-2/3 months sober today.
Goal was to wake up at eight this morning. Yeah, that didn't happen. I only overslept by two and a half hours. Oh well, I didn't have any real plans for the morning. I kinda need to do laundry but I kinda don't want to and I still have a couple of clean work shirts so I'll probably procrastinate until tomorrow morning instead. I work tonight. Might try to get to a noon AA meeting but I also really want to cook breakfast so I might not.
Thank you as always for everything you've done for me and everyone else here, Dee.
Hope you get some immri time soon, immri.
Counting days helps me, Samantha. It keeps me accountable to myself and to all of you. When I come in here and add a day to my previous count, I'm telling all of you that I did not drink since the last time I was here. But I certainly understand those who don't as it can add pressure. Today is the most important one for all of us.
Thanks for the explosion of emoticons, Applekat! Nope, nothing special planned. I just know I'm not planning on drinking. Good job skipping the bachelorette party. Only ten days until my next emoticon.

In lieu of attending the bachelorette, I did grocery shopping for all the apps and munchies for the evening. I REALLY wanted a canned margarita or two. Passed it by finally. Picked up root beer for myself.
Proud but sad. Still have those mixed emotions. But need to get up and actually be presentable and go co-run my sisters bridal shower tomorrow in the AM.
