Class of March 2016 Part 27
Bobbie - I love it!! Lol
I am just hanging out with Charlie this afternoon watching a movie - "The Angriest Man in Brooklyn" - I think it might have been Robin Williams last movie before his death....so far it's pretty good.
We are making a chicken and bok choy stir fry for dinner and then it will for sure be an early night - my eyes feel like sand paper!!
It feels really empty in here today - I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday!!

Long day here! Swimming lessons, baby nap, packing for beach - that part takes at least as long as actually being at the beach! Beach afternoon and quick dinner now. Still having cravings! I think it's just the weather. Trigger.
Well I think I am pretty much off to bed.
To anyone who hasn't checked in today, or even if it has been a while, know that we love you. This is a hard road and a daily struggle for each of us. The one great part about this journey is that we don't have to do it alone.
Night all.

Reading Sober Mercies by Heather Kopp right now and this line stuck out at me:
"Our marriage became an endless test of his ability to love me at my worst."
My hubby and I have a great relationship but it was a reminder of how I do not want this to snowball for me. I empower myself with the knowledge that it is progressive!!

So... Cut my hand with hedge trimmer. 5 stitches later. Glad I don't drink anymore, probably would have lost a thumb. Feel like a dork.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Really missing a few of you.

Just a quick check in. Still dealing with computer/internet issues that should be resolved soon.
I also didn't want to come back until I had some appreciable sober time. I still don't. Regardless, I just wanted to say I'm still here and reading. Still trying. I'm grateful for all of you.

All is good here still. Spent most of the day at my dad's. My 20-month old niece is awesome. Though I don't remember her ever being a good smelling baby. I'll have to pay more attention to the smell when my sister pops out her next one in a couple of months.
Still haven't caught up on the last day's worth of posts but I think I read that immri has four months. That's awesome! So proud of and happy for you and glad I have you in my recovery.
Hope everyone else is doing well. In the middle of a movie so going back to it now. Sweet dreams!
I use Serenity now all the time. Unfortunately (?) Kramer is my fav. Eccentric to the core, smart- highly unrealistic and always good value (transference?). I read recently that god gave us humour to understand the absurdity of the cosmos. Another simple story to remind myself to at least try and have fun...
Linus and Snoopy are dancing with energy and abandon. Lucy follows them around reminding them the world is a very serious place and exercising such wild behaviour indicates they are not looking up to their responsibilities in the grand shceme of things. Linus looks at Lucy with a very large grin and says " In 100 years time, who will know the difference? "

Another serenity poem for this beautiful day
Bring me to serenity, let me be peaceful
Bring me to a place that my mind can wander and my thoughts can fathom
Show me that the ocean so violent and unforgiving can still have moments of calm
Show me that my mind so dark and cloudy can still have flowers bloom, even in the harshest of conditions
Bring me to serenity, let me be peaceful
