Class of March 2016 Part 27
Thanks Casey! Thank God I didn't drink! In that moment...that moment of the craving....it's so hard & scary!
The cravings are getting less and less the longer I stay sober and the more cravings I get through. My sponsor said they will eventually go away! I know from my first round of sobriety from 2008-2014 they DO go away!

Since I've never really committed to quitting (though I've often committed to wanting to quit), and I have no frame of reference for my own in actually doing so, I have to actually do it (duh!). I think my plan has to be to stop first (duh, idiot!), then move forward. White knuckle then see what else I need to add. I've said this same thing before or something similar but I really do want to do it...even if I'm not really sure that I want to. The back and forth drives me crazy; I can't imagine how the sober feel about such waffling. Please bear with me.
The strength you saw was hubris, dear Kiki. Now the real work begins. Winding down on day 10 without a drink and day 4 not smoking. Feeling pretty good at this point but I'm not going to let my guard down. I have drastically changed my lifestyle to make sure I won't drink for now it is working pretty good and I'm also getting healthy at the same time. Eating better and exercising often. I have been way to busy to smoke or drink at this point. It's getting to slow down just a little bit but I have not even thought about drinking so for now all is good. I hope it lasts
