Got an A+ on my 6 month check-up with the doc yesterday. Blood pressure is lowest it's ever been, lost some weight, followed thru with the colonoscopy and most importantly I've now been sober 7+ years. Amazing how that works

Glee, congrats not only on 21/2 years sober but even more amazing is your attitude. You are inspiring!

Thanks for all your kind thoughts Overs! No news on funeral arrangements, but I am sure I will hear or read them soon.
Yesterday I went for some reflexology, on advice from a psychologist. I had to laugh a little when the therapist said I might feel a bit hungover today but just to drink lots of water - little did she know that I (like many of us here) lived through some of the very worst hangovers that are possible (albeit I used to just drink more alcohol to take the symptoms 'away'). So, today, I do have what I would call a 0.00001 'hangover' which is very very easy to live through lol!
Another thing to be glad of now that we are sober, huh?!

FG, hope the reflexology helps. I've never tried it but have known people who it has helped immensely.
Looked again at my soon to be office, with air con and met some nice people there who seem very relaxed, quite different to where I am at the moment!

This week is dragginnnnngggg. Can't believe it's only Wednesday, or, should I say HUMP DAY.
This job is keeping me on my toes.
Oh so guess what the guy/formerly-boyfriendish-figure ended up apologizing and we both missed each other a lot so we've been seeing each other again. I'm trying to keep it casual but you know how that goes with two fairly emotionally dependent people....oy. Luckily for me I have a good support system in the form of my best gal friend who I live with and who keeps me in check and grounded.
I'm trying to maintain some space from him but am not doing that great so far, it's hard when you work 12-13 hours a day and at the end of it all just want a bit of affection, even if he's not totally right for me.
Anyway.....I don't know, argh.
I have to get back to work now. Just taking a bit of a sanity break.

So sorry dearest Eternal ~ I'm not sure if you know that I was my parents' carer for years, and my mum had Alzheimer's as well as Vascular Dementia. Here for you love if you want or need to talk. Huge hugs. ♥

Morning all, it has been a frantic week so far, looking at plenty of properties driving all over the place. Several hit much of our criteria, but each misses one or two important factors. It has been a hugely informative week and two massive aspects have had the spotlight thrown on them:
First, we totally played it right with all the forward planning, it has made our, and the agents lives easier, and they have all been impressed by our research and choices.
Second, through all the stress of timetables, driving a strange car on strange roads ( on the right 'wrong' side) Mr T and I have managed to keep our tempers and our sense of humour. Also with some judicious planning and forward thinking choices in accommodation, we have had time at the end of most days to sit on sunbeds by the pool, like an actual, proper holiday!
Our last viewing day today and it will be decision time.
Glee, you are awesome sauce Missy, you have worked as hard as anyone I know to grow in sobriety into the person you want to be and love. And I love you too kiddo!
