Yes FarToGo there is. It wasn't boring either I read a transcript of a lecture a Professor gave to the Glaucoma Society. Did you know, and not a lot of people know this, when you put drops in the front of your eye they only get 30 seconds to work.

Eternal, sending hugs your way today.
We're getting some more much-needed rain here this morning. Still pretty humid out there, but supposed to cool down by tomorrow.
Have a Thunderous Thursday, overs!

FBL, great news on your health check-out! As we get older that seems to become increasingly important!
Eternal,
Toots, you are so funny - driving a stick
Hi to all and have a terrific Thursday :-)

Glee, congrats on the 30 month mark. Your posts have always been a huge inspiration for me. You express so eloquently the thoughts that roam through my head but I can never quite punch out on the keyboard.
Congrats FBL on the good checkup! I just got back the best blood work results in over ten years. It is amazing how alcohol plays quiet havoc on us internally, not to mention the obvious. High blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugars and so on.
Toots, I hope your hard work pays off and you can find your dream home!
Have a great day all!

Friend's funeral is set for the 7th of September but is right at the other end of the UK, so I won't be attending, but have passed my best thoughts on to his family.
Currently drinking a very rare cup of coffee as need a little pick-me-up after an early start (5.30am!) today - my housemate's son and daughter in law were getting up early to begin their travel overseas for work - they are both teachers in the middle East so they had to get going! It was really nice having them stay for a few days but it is equally nice to have the place to myself right now

Just back from Pilates, those endorphins are sooo good. Really needed it tonight, my ex is clearly having trouble letting go and my "ignore all contact" strategy just seems to be creating more attempts. Hopefully short term and if not, well...... we will see.
Enjoy the rest of Thursday everybody.

TGIF and I don't have to get up with the alarm clock tomorrow! This is the second day in a row where a coffee has crept in to my afternoon - argh! I must stop drinking it after this cup is finished as otherwise I will end up in the crazy super-over-tired and wired state that I used to be in constantly, a number of years ago
For the first time since I finally got sober I have not been at an AA meeting in a little over a week (visits from housemate's son and daughter-in-law)... man, I am missing being there and will get back on Sunday - thank goodness!

Afternoon everybody. 20 months is fantastic GD, well done. thanks for the support over ex issues all, much appreciated.
I had a potentially tricky meeting today that I had to chair, felt fine about it as had done my prep, BUT had the wind knocked out of me by emails from himself to my work. Now he's getting a "volunteer" to email on his behalf in case I find contact "difficult". She made sure I had all his latest news and made sure to tell me how all his projects were sooo fantastic, so obviously scripted.
I realised the winded feeling was not jealousy but fear, I'm still afraid of him.
Had to tell my boss, in order to be able to deflect the emails to him. He was great, really supportive and said he'll deal with all that communication. Relief!
Then the tricky meeting went fine and I got a bunch of flowers at the end........... life is a bit loud at the moment, but I'm riding the waves, just a bit breathless with it. Glad to be home with my dog.
